Change negative pulses to positive

Hello. I have connected quadrature encoder. And when I turn it clockwise counter counts up positive. When I turn counterclockwise, counter counts downs negative (with minus). Is it possible to make that after reset counter, it doesn't matter how you turn encoder, but but it counts always up positive?

Are you just trying to count the pulses from the encoder? 

 

You can set the input as a high-speed counter to 'Pulse and Direction' interface in the hardware configuration instead of a 'Quadrature (A/B)'.  Then only wire one of the channels from the encoder to the 'pulse' input and leave the 'direction' input open.

I tried that. But then, the counter is not fast enough to take pulses from encoder if I turn encoder faster (some pulses are missing)

Yes it works. It was my mistake. It missed pulses when I was using Inc function. Not directly from UID-0808THS. But now it counts always when I reset, from zero to negative. Can I make it count from zero to positive?

It works now. I changed Count at Falling edge, Direction polarity Up=0.
