  4. If you can use VisiLogic 8.6.3, do that. If not, let us know.
  5. Why don't you want to use a software reset? Software reset can be operated in a frequency of 2.5mS. What exactly are you using the reset for?
  6. 1. Is your Windows 32 or 64bit? 2. Are you using Firefox? if so, try uninstalling it, as VisiLogic collides with FireFox. 3. Install VisiLogic 9.0.1. 4. Launch the Swapper and click on Register. If nothing works, send a screen shot of the error message you receive to support@unitronics.com.
  7. The answer is yes. The port is in use while downloading applications and while in online mode. In the rest of the time it can be used by other software, such as DataXport.
  8. Hi, Input #0 and #2 can each function as either high speed counter or as part of a shaft encoder. In each case, high-speed input specifications apply. When used as a normal digital input, normal input specifications apply. Inputs #1 and #3 can each function as either counter reset or as a normal digital input. in either case, specificatons are those of a normal digital input. As for SB10, it is normally on.

  11. Hi, this is not a bug. Reset is defined to zero the operand.
  12. It is indeed not totaly flexible but you can use the String Library. The radio buttons are enabled when the variable is configured as Keypad Entry.
  13. Hi, Confirm you perfromed the following procedure: 1. At Power-up, SET SB109 ON. 2. Enable the PID output (for example, if you used MB0 to enable an HSO, turn MB0 ON). 3. Activate the Run PID MB for the loop you want to tune. 4. Turn the appropriate Start auto-tune SB ON; activating the auto-tune function. 5. When auto-tune is complete, the SB will turn OFF, and the appropriate auto-tune is Complete SB will turn ON.
  14. Hi Deke, You can use the Description field in the variable configuration window for that purpose:
  15. Fabios, the previous posts were deleted because they contained a wrong approach, according to you.
  16. If the RPM is fairly stable you can use interpolation. Take two RPM values and find their mean. Of course, this is just an manipulation. As long as you measure the RPM of the big wheel I don't think there's a way to overcome this problem. Also, as you shown before, if you take larger intervals the differences will be smaller (At the expense of accuracy).
  17. Hi, The serial port is used for all communcation between VisiLogic and the PLC. Use the Data Xport program to retrieve data from the PLC and to transfer the Data Base into Excel.
  18. Hi, This is an issue regarding the Excel settings. In Excel, go to: Control panel > Local settings. At the Local Options tab, click on Customize and change the "." with a ",".

  20. Hi, At the moment there is no such a simulator available, and checking applications require an actual PLC. We are aware of the need of a simulator and planning on issuing one in the future.
  21. Hi Wendy, The type of random number generator depends on the application I can offer you two different random number generators which you might find useful. Random Number Generator 2.vlp V570_Random_number_generator.vlp
  22. Yes. The functionality is the same as in the V280. Use right and left arrows to move between the variables and Enter to open the virtual keypad.
  23. Hi, Try uninstalling VisiLogic and re-install it. If the problem persists, try installing VisiLogic 9.0.1. Also, try updating the driver of the modem. If this doesn't work, let me know the following: Have you been able to perform this procedure in the past? If so, were there any changes? a new version of any relevant software?
  24. Hi, As for your first question, I would like to refer you to the help file. Search for Store Timer's Preset/Current Value. I hope this will resolve all you questions. Regarding your second question, you don't need to enter any values, pressing Enter is sufficient. But you can also use the following method to fix this: Create another HMI which is identical to the first one but have the ON/OFF variable to be not keypad entry. create a condition which decides which of the HMIs we be displayed.
