  1. Thank you for your answer. Establishing GSM/GPRS link between the PLCs is a good idea, quite low cost option and we have some experience on this type of solutions. I would still consider putting a VPN router between the "master" and Internet. This way I don't have to get a fixed IP for the PLC. The SW Raven sounds interesting especially if the price can be halved. With the GSM networks we are getting outside of my "comfort zone" (if there is any). So could you explain a bit more about how to utilize the SW Raven in practice. I understand that in theory if we connect all the PLCs to a VLAN we can transfer data between them (of course the PC with a browser needs to be connected too). But for example, if I understood correctly all the PLCs are in this case hosting their own web page, how in practice can I access them with my web browser?
  2. I'm planning on using V130 in a project. The idea is to use 11 different V130 logics. I want to utilize the web server so that I can make information of all the PLCs available either over VPN or directly through internet using web browser. I only want to show simple information (values of few MIs and MBs) over web. The problem is that these PLCs are located 20-40 km apart. First I though it would be simple to connect all the PLCs to an Ethernet router with a cable and use VPN, but because the distance it is not very convenient. So what do you think, what would be the most convenient way to do this? GSM -modem? Separate Internet Access for each PLC could be accomplished too. All the suggestions are welcome. At the end only what matters is that the maintenance crew can see the information of all the PLCs using laptop with web browser and Internet or VPN connection.
  3. Our Modbus network consist of M91 controllers acting as slaves and of one Vision 120 controller acting as master. For each Modbus node (M91 or V120) there is Unitronics RS232/RS485 converter. If I connect my computer to the converters RJ11 port with communication cable, I am able to download a program to any of the controllers connected to the Modbus network just by defining the id number of the node. I'm also able to view any of the controllers in online mode through a single converter. Now I would like to be able to similarly access the network from my office. I'm hoping to establish a GSM link between office and a single RS232/RS485 converter connected to the Modbus network. So my aim is to be able download a new program to every controller in the network via single RS232/RS485 converter using GSM link from my office. Can this be done and how?
  4. I'm using VisiLogic 8.6.2 to program V130. My problem occurred after updating to newest VisiLogic. My OS is windows XP. The problem occurred during editing HMI Displays jump conditions. Before update while editing HMI's I could see "frame" (with V130 buttons etc.) around the actual display and below were the jump conditions. After the update I can't see the "frame" and the jump conditions anymore (see attached screenshot). So I can only see the display. If I press the HMI button from toolbar, the frame and the jump conditions flash on the screen for a second and then disappear. If I press the HMI button repeatedly, the VisiLogic fails and closes. I can edit normally the display but I can't edit the jump conditions for the displays. What could be the problem? I've uninstalled the VisiLogic and deleted the remaining folder from program files. After installing the VisiLogic again the problem persists.
