  1. You are right, in the days of relais, it was called cascade logic. For plcs it is difficult to do otherwise.
  2. First I need to tell what I use the system for. I give old machines a second live by replacing an old and usually defective control system Mostly bending machines. Due to the long tubes that are swinging around and the forces involved the emergency stop is extremely important. For hydraulic machines this is simply a matter of cutting the valve tension and switching off the hydraulic pump. The status of the machine cylcle stays unalterred and can be resumed or aborted as needed. For servo it is completely different. It needs to be brought to a controled stop. (I think) So I made a test program with 2 sequences - abs, abs, abs, rel, rel, rel - abs, rel, abs, rel, abs, rel, wich run perfectly, in both directions at will. When I simulated an emergency I did the following: I saved the complete input status of the servo axis then I executed an axis stop and after the stop-done an axis reset After reinstating the abs position or the rel distance, I put on target position or the remaining rel distance and the start bit again. It would not resume where it left off. So maybe I should live with junking a halve finished product.
  3. Hello, I had a testset on loan from unitronics. It is really simple. I am not done yet, I still have to figure out how to handle an emergency stop and resume the action, so I do not have to junk a half finished produkt.
  4. Can users make suggestions to the UniLogic developers for things they would like? Like for instance changing text on a button by some instr
  5. Thank you both for your swift answer. The reason I tried such large arrays is that I do not understand the way datatables work. The whole subject of storing and retrieving data is unclear to me, just is importing and exporting data to PC. I suppose that happens with beginners. I tryed to follow the video about datatables (and some others) on utube. There I have a problem. Since my hearing is somewhat impaired, I cannot fully understand what is said. I followed a number of seminars, there I lost the thread very swiftly also. The speed is very high, wich makes it worse. Repeated stop, wind back and replay made things not better, neither did half speed. There was one video where there was subtitling during a short time. That cleared up things enormously. I wonder if I am the only half deaf person using utube. I will contact my contact at Unitronics. They are very helpfull, but I do not want to bother them more than I need to.
  6. I tryed to create an array with length 1000000, max that I could get was 512 (0-511) This goes for all types. the way i did it was: - click global in bottom line, - add tag - fillin name, type, array length length over 512 colored red, not accepted what do i do wrong?
  7. For me the utube moves are practically worthless. My hearing is not good and even with earphones the voices are ALL incrompehensible. There was one movie where there was some kind of subtitling, but only for a few shots. could you do this in all movies?
  8. Are pictures stored in these 256 kbytes?
