  1. I am using a V1040 for the first time. The issue I'm facing is that, I have 2 buttons on the HMI with TOUCH assigned to them. These 2 buttons control the Jog FWD & Jog REV of a motor. Since they are used for the Jog function, the respective action takes place till the buttons are touched. I experienced some thing very strange today. I was Jogging FWD and noticed a speck of dirt on the screen, wiped off the dirt with the other hand and lo presto! even though my finger was on the Jog FWD, the other touch stopped the process. This never happened with V570? Is this behavior normal? Is there any bit that can stop the 2nd touch from interfering? Pl reply Thanks Lawry
  2. Hi, Is there an example which could point one in the direction of using both CANBus (to read from a Kubler Absolute Encoder) and UNICAN (to have communication between a V1210 ans a V130) simultaneously? Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated Thanks Lawry
  3. Why do you have so many jump loops? This must be the reason for the logic not working properly
  4. There werent any retentive values, nor has this occured in my 10 years of using Unitronics. I always update the OS as a habit, but now will think twice before doing so
  5. Hi, After working painstakingly for 8 months on a project, I had completed 95% of it. As habituated, I downloaded the latest version of Visilogic 9.8.0 and consequently updated my V130 with the latest boot & OS. To my dismay, on starting the machine, i found it misbehaving completely. On inspection, i found that almost 360 parameters which were in MIs were changed arbitrarily. Since these parameters were ascertained by trial and error, they weren't in the power up mode. I do have a copy of the parameters and so will restore it back, but i haven't faced this issue in the past. Pl reply asap Lawry
  6. HSC Interrupt is allowed only with the HSC using inputs on the Snap In modules, and not for the HSC using the expansion modules
  7. My first rung in every subroutine is an Increment XDW. If this count is changing, it means that the subroutine is being serviced. When it does not change, i can ignore all the logic thats present in that subroutine Lawry
  8. Looks like the Unitronics forum has been hit by some virus
  9. In the download section, uncheck "Initialise Data Types excluding MI & MB 0 - 15 (M90) style" and check "Retain Values (Battery Back up" Lawry
  10. Thank you for the replies. The scenario is thus. 6 VFDs all in one panel along with the V130. The motors are 20 meters away. At any given time only one VFD operates. The SC LED lights up on any operation of any of tyhe 6 VFDs. Have just finished re routing and separating the PLC wiring from the VFD wiring. Will check out firstly with this and additionally will reduce carrier frequency. Will inform the forum of the results Lawry
  11. Hi, I am using a V130 T2 with an EX DI16A3TO16 + IODI16A3TO16 X 2, in a panel along with 6 VFDs. The PLC wiring and the VFD wiring is seperate. Only 2 Inputs per VFD are being used by the PLC. For the past 2 months everything was fine, but today, I witnessed the SC LED on each of the Expansion Units lighting up. After doing the laborious process of disconnecting each output, it was found that switching OFF the VFDs eliminated the problems. I realise that VFDs do give rise to harmonics. How do I avoid this? Awaiting a quick reply Lawry
  12. Hi, The comparative features of each Vision PLC was available as a pdf download on the Unitronics website previously. But now it is nowhere to be found. Lawry
  13. Since Ylle is using a Vision1040, this topic should be moved away from the M90 / Jazz section
  14. For direct connection, use a crossed cable
  15. Dear micapp, How do you know that the value of the MI is 4095 during the stopped stage of the PLC? Lawry
  16. Hello David, I think you ought to change the Slave id from 1 to any other integer between 2 and 254. Your Master already has ID 1 Ron
  17. Hi, I am using a V130 T38 + 1 X EX D16A3TO16 + 1 X IO AI4 AO2, this system will be powered by a 24 V battery bank. In the specs sheet, it mentions operating voltage between 20.4 V to 28.8 V DC. What would happen if the voltage would go down to say 18 V. Will the PLC shut down on its own, or is there a precaution that i need to take? Thanks Lawry
