  1. Hi, my system : USP-104-X10 with B10 I have 3 PLC's (all same model and firmware (1.33.161)) communicating via OPC UA server with Kepware Everything is working perfectly.....until I stop my Kepware (to do some upgrading or other stuff) When I shutdown my Kepware I see following OPC-AU diagnostics differences : PLC A : PLC B: You see the difference in the current session of current subscription count -> PLC A is 0 and on PLC B it stays on 1.... When I restart my Kepware, I'm able to reconnect on PLC A, but not on B ! My Kepware gives me following error : (PLC B is GBS UNI BD1) The PLC B is actually refusing the communication The only thing is to give a cold boot on the PLC B to restart my communication... I checked (several times already 😒😒😒) all parameters (on PLC side and on KEPWARE) but all are the same... any suggestions ?
  2. Hi. After i added/enabled OPC UA in the plc and added one tag. Each time i make a change in the plc, i always have to reset it while downloading one small plc code change. In this example, i added a new local variable called "AAAAA" and added this rung and this small code. Before small changes like this, i could just download without reset the plc.
  3. Hey Guys, The Title really says it all.. But is there a tag limit either by STRUCT or Element for the Unistreams OPC UA Server? If there is a limit, is it based on the hardware? Cheers
  4. Hi all, I have the following question. In a research Project we want to reach connectivity between (older) machines. For that, we want to make data from a PLC V430 available by using OPC UA. As V430 is not OPC UA-able, we want to connect the PLC to a RaPi and implement an OPC UA Server there. For that, can you please tell me, whether the communication between PLC V430 and RaPi is possible? What is the best way to communicate, Modbus tcp? Thank you very much for your Responses!
  5. I'm working with OPC/UA right now and just to clarify a few things: 1) The existing help file [September, 2019] mention of the certificate in the PLC [UniApps->Network-> (2nd Page)-> OPCUA] may or may not be present in there. It depends on the OPC/UA Client program. 2) The generation of the OPC/UA certificate appears to be created/generated when the PLC is first powered up. In order to get the OPC/UA Client to connect I had to download the program and then reset/reboot the PLC. 3) If you plan to implement OPC/UA do yourself a favor and wrap all of your tags into one or more Structs. You can add Structs to the OPC/UA Address Space. Otherwise you have to add the tags one at a time. For my existing project that means adding 168 tags by hand. And of course I find it necessary to have the OPC tag name match that of the 'source' tag exactly. That means at least 600 actions to add them. [I batch process similar to that of the MODBUS configuration would come in handy. Hint Hint !!!]. If anyone has any additional tips/tricks/faqs please add them.
  6. UniLogic 1.28.26 with UniStream USP-070-B10. After following the instructions to setup a OPC server, the certificate is not appearing in the UNI Apps OPC UA window.
  7. Hi Dears, I can identify a lot of benefits including OPC UA server capabilities directly at CPU level. This could standardize OPC communications for OEM vendors and leveraging data collections in upper data layers. Do you have plans to integrate that functionality ? Congratulations including MQTT protocol, this is also a very good progress!!! I tried in the pass define an standard XML (web methods module) to communicate, but this is definitely much better. Regards. Marcos.

    OPC DA or OPC UA

Dear All, Does someone knows which protocol is implemented in the UniOPC package: UA (Unified Architecture) or DA (Data Access)? For one of our test installations we need to connect a V1040 PLC via OPC UA to a fuzzy logic controller that generates variable setpoints we need for our process. Thanks a lot. Olaf
