  1. Hello, I have a problem with a V350, when establishing communication with it, it shows me the model as V350-35-XXXX and when loading the program to the PLC, the WARNING 987 "Incompatible hardware configuration definitions: between project (PCModelXXX)" appears. & PLC (PLCModelXXX", could you tell me a way to fix that, thanks
  2. Hi, For a test setup between my Laptop en a PLC i'm trying to configure an Ethernet connection. Easy peasy you would say. Well, apparently not. Init of the TCP/IP card and the socket (socket 1 in this case) is all successful. I made the following settings on de PLC: TCP/IP card init: IP address -> 192.168.0.1, subnetmask -> 255.255.255.0, Default gateway -> 192.168.0.254 Socket init: Socket 1, Protocol -> TCP, Port -> 20256, client/server -> client (master). My laptop's IP address is set to 192.168.0.10 When I ping the PLC from my laptop is this successful. The PLC is set als Master (intentionally). For testing I've also tried set the PLC to Slave. This had no positive result. I can't find the reason why the socket status will not switch to connected. Explanation for the attached picture. please read MB0 as SB2. MB0 is set on start up by SB2. When all initialization is done, MB0 will be reset. In advance, thanks for any help. Leyke
Gracias.
  4. Hi all! I have a problem with Protocol TCP/IP SCAN module. In my project I can connect this PLC (V350) with my computer through TCP/IP protocol. I use PROTOCOL TCP/IP SEND module for send information to PC and Scan module for receive it and that part work fine, with this, connection modules problems are discarded. My next step is connect the PLC with a server (same way). In this case I send a GET petition from PLC, when server receive this petition send another get petition to PLC with the valor of a variable stored in a data base, this petition must be read it by SCAN module and update some "flag" (MB direct contact) for activate a sensor (represented by a light bulb in HMI). At this point my problem is with SCAN module, petition is properly send it (I checked this with wireshark and checking the state of data base that is updated), but SCAN module is not reading petition properly because don't active the flag (don't change light bulb state). At present , both petitition seem correct, in wireshark send petition from PLC appear with HTTP protocol tag and server respond with status 200 OK HTTP and the correct message. Scan module is configured for read response from server too. What can be the problem? Thank you.
  5. Hai Guys, I have add Ethernet module(V100-17-ET2) in my V350 controller in order to communicate with one additional HMI . It is working fine with a short cable (2 to 3 metre). But when i connect long cable, more than 5 meter, even LEDs for indication itself not working. The same cable is working fine between my PC and HMI. But not working between my PC and V350 Controller. Please advise me to solve this ASAP. Thanks Regards Abilash Singapore.
  6. I am very new to using PLC’s and HMI’s but for my current project I am tasked to have an E3X-HD sensor sense parts moving across a conveyor and increment a counter on the PLC (V350-35-R34). I was told I would get training for this PLC+HMI but it was not provided. I would appreciate it if someone could help me even just get the PLC/HMI to even talk with the sensor if it is at all possible. Thank you!
  7. Hi Having used the V350 - TRA22 for a number of years successfully on a variety of projects and now I have a new project that unusually for us needs a RTC. I'm struggling with this, I want to be able to enter or update the RTC on the screen and basically every thing I try fails dismally. The clock runs, counts down, I can update via the tools, but not update via the HMI screen. The Help files are at best vague on this subject and none of the examples seem to have the feature I need which is press the RTC on the screen , enter a new value, HH,MM that's all we need. Sounds simple, and probably is but I can't work it out. I haven't included any sample ladder code, because nothing has worked so far. Anybody, somebody must have idea how to do this, all assistance much appreciated. Thanks Andy Brown
  8. I've seen a couple of examples explaining using the .net library to read/write multiple MI's/MB's during a single call is it possible to read discrete I/O, Counters, Timers as well as MI/MB/DW/MF/ and SB in one call to the PLC using the .net library? Could you provide an example of the function, and then is there detail of the array structure that's generated on the PC side. Thanks -a
  9. Hello, For a new project, I’m actually trying to establish a Profibus communication between a V350 (slave) and a Siemens PLC (Master) S7 315-2DP. V350 (Slave - Address 3) -Profibus card is installed (V100-17-PB1) -OS is up to date (comprises a Profibus card) -Connected with a Profibus cable with Siemens connectors (terminating resistance connected) -Profibus configuration block on the main routine with SB2 (power-up task) -Status message = 0 -Error message = 1 -Profibus card detected : SB178 = 1 Siemens PLC (Master - Address 2) -Configured with UniProf.gsd file -Test with only 16 Int in Read and 16 Int in Write -Test with all Bit and Int in R/W … and no communication Can you advise me something ? or maybe do you have project example or documentation.. Thanks. Best regards, Fab

  11. Hi all, I have hit a roadblock and am asking for guidance. I have a V350 with an Ethernet module connected to a wireless gateway (RV50). The RV50 uses Modbus (socket 2, port 502) to connect to the PLC and port forwarding to allow remote communication (socket 1, port 20256). This communication is great and has been successful for several months. My challenge begins when we want to control the outputs on a separate wireless gateway (GX450) with AT commands from this PLC by using the Protocol TCP/IP Function. The catch is that the GX450 will be in a remote destination and we will not be able to use serial communication. I have configured and initialized socket 0 to use Protocol TCP/IP on port 20255, SB 142 and SB 143 come on, but SB 147 does not. The static IP of my GX450 is 68.25.107.225 and I'm not sure what my remote port # would be (MI1007). I have attached my file and the rungs are under Protocol TCP IP Test except for the Sock Config under Main Routine. 1.) Does this sound possible or is there an easier way? 2.) Has anyone done something like this and could offer some insight? Note: We are using the Sprint network for both the RV50 and the GX450 and have been told by Sprint that they do not offer SMS messaging on the GX450. This is the initial route I wanted to take. Thanks, Josh Goen V350 TR20 Mnet-4-30-18.vlp
  12. Hello Everyone. Hello everyone I am having a problem with my Vision V350, in the company where I work there are two PLCs, a V350 and a V1210 that communicate by MODBUS. We have a screen that alerts us when a communication problem happen and when we check our V350 it shows us an error that is: O.S. (Stop Mode - Fatal Error) Enum: 0x00001740 IP: 0x00250000 00076A2C Ldr: 0x000000DE Desc: Undefined Opcode Some changes had been made to the program and then this error arose so it went back to the previous program, but the problem is still happening. Does anyone have any idea why this happens? By performing a reset of the equipment, the problem is solved momentarily but this is not recommended for our production.
  13. So after a bunch of trial and error I'm happy to say I've made some good progress on teaching myself how to program decently complex things, but a few things elude me so hopefully the questions I have aren't too obvious. 1. I have 2 sensors that I need to hook up to the PLC and I'm having trouble figuring out exactly what I need to do for it, I've looked up some posts on here about it but none of them seem to apply. It's a 4-20mA analog input that reads pH levels, but I'm not exactly sure what the linearization inputs (X1, Y1, X2, Y2, Y) should be. If there's a guide or example program about that all I need is a point in the right direction. This is the sensor we have - https://www.sensorex.com/docs/specs/SpecsS600Inline.pdf 2. Is there any way to make a timer that counts up? I came up with a convoluted way of doing that using a timer set at max time and subtracting it from that number, but I feel like there's a simpler way to do that I'm missing. 3. For sending an email through a PLC is an SD card required? The example program (Joe Tauser's) that I got from here has inputs for the email text and all of that and it seems to hold all the information I need to put on it so can I not use the SD card in that case? Thanks for the assistance, if there's any other information I can send that would be helpful just let me know.
  14. Hello all, I just recently began my job programming PLCs for a custom welding manufacturer, so there will be many different types of programs to brainstorm and create. I am VERY new to programming itself let alone Visilogic and PLCs in general, no past experience aside from a few linux classes before coming into this job(unrelated just my only programming experience prior). That being said, I'm learning ladder logic and Visilogic from the ground up and was hoping a few of you gurus could point me in the right direction to make my learning process a bit smoother than it'd be with just google and I. To familiarize myself and experiment with the program I am using a Unitronics v350-35-ta24(B) with the 4.3 O/S. Attached to my PLC are a few digital inputs and outputs as well as an analog input and output. I have watched all the webinars on the website 5 times through, even the ones I don't understand. It seems there is a void in tutorials between the basic introductory buttons/timers videos and the complicated vectors, strings, etc. I have somebody nearby to tell me how to do what I want, but the resources to teach myself and learn in my own way seem to be lacking somewhat unless I am missing the right videos somewhere on the internet, though I have searched far and wide, to infinity and beyond, etc. At this point I can do the basics as far as buttons, jumps, timers are concerned, my only confusion with contacts at this point is how to incorporate inverted contacts/coils smoothly which I feel will come as I design my programs and find my pace. My purpose of this post was to collect as much research material as possible that I may not know of yet, any relevant videos or forums/posts/documents about ladder logic, programming, or specific Visilogic that would help me better understand the language I am attempting to teach myself. The software is very easy to understand and work with, as well as the videos/forums that I have found so far; and you all do a great job at responding to questions on here. If anything comes to mind that might help a toddler in the Visilogic world mature a little bit it would be greatly appreciated. At this point I am really trying to master using contacts in sequence to perform AND statements, using them "stacked"(for lack of better term) as OR statements, and trying to master my motor and PID instincts. I know this is a vague request and nothing exactly specific, but any examples of simple old code you may have from when you were learning or from simple programs you had to do, websites you refer to in order to refresh your memory or thought process, or ANYTHING informational about basic Visilogic and/or programming would be greatly appreciated. Hope you all have a great weekend, Derek Godown
  15. Greeatings. I need some help , i use v350 T38 and i have problems . On my touch screen i need one button with two screen, function of this button is , when i press first time i activate my output , when i press second time output is off . Can someone help me how can i do this on v350
  16. So I'm currently in the process of adapting an old program to fit our current needs for my work, but after adding things to it it's giving me an error saying there are 18 fonts when only 15 are allowed. I've manually gone through and counted and there are only 3 that I can see, but I'm at a loss as to how to go from here. Is there any quick fix to this or am I going to have to redo the HMI completely?
  17. My main confusion right now is when I'm setting up the IP address and all of that for the PLC wouldn't I need to get the information of where the PLC is going to actually be used instead of the information from the production facility? Currently the PLCs are going to be sent out with the product they're attached to and used to control them but also send emails whenever alerts are triggered, would it be easiest to use the HMI and let the people plug in all their info for it instead of whatever workaround I would have to figure out or am I misunderstanding how the whole email thing works? I understand that the emails would be sent through our server but wouldn't all the other information have to come from them?
  18. So I just want to preface this all by saying that I am very new to PLC programming and I'm currently trying to self-learn it for work. My current puzzle is that I want to send emails to a select email address when there is an fault in the system that the PLC is connected to, but right now I can't figure out how to send an email at all. I've looked at the help setup for doing this and I've plugged in most of the information that is pertinent but I'm running into two issues, I don't know how to test it and I'm not sure if the IP addresses and all that are correct. I'm currently working on a laptop that is wirelessly connected to the internet and the PLC is connected to power and then directly to the computer. What other connectors do I need in order to enable the PLC to send the emails and is an ethernet card required to do so? Sorry if this is all super basic, it's been very hard to find any kind of information on this and most of the things that I find dealing with the internet/PLC interaction have more to do with changing the program remotely than actually sending emails/information like I'm trying to. Thanks for your time, -Chris
  19. Has anyone tried the Virtual PLC sold at PLC-apps.com. I am using V350 and need to simulate logic and test it for the client. I need to know if this simulator is trusted or not before buying. https://www.plc-apps.com/collections/apps-for-pc/products/virtual-plc-simulator
  20. Hi to All, I've short question. Did anyone use the Unitronics Vision Controller for an IoT application with the MQTT protocol? I think the Unitronics OPLC will fit very well to the Internet of Things. Best Regards Thomas
  21. Hi all, at the moment i am using a Vision350 Controller for a small machine type. We think about replacing the Vison350 with the new 7 Inch samba. Now i have a few questions, because i am not sure if the memory of the samba would be enough for this program. * How can i find out the memory used in the Vision350 controller? I already looked at the "project memory map", but i did not get really useful information from there. I only see that i am using 4,9 % of the DLU capacity, but i do not find any information about how many kb are used for ladder code, hmi variables, .......... * Is there any way to export my code from the Vison350 and reimport it in Samba? I already tried to change the hardware in the project, but it is not possible to keep the hmi screens and the ladder code..... I also tried to export the ladder subroutines one by one, but also here the import is not possible, because i always get the message that some used operands are not available on the samba platform. Of course i have to re-adress some variables, but it is just not possible if i cannot import the subroutine in my samba project. Any tips would be helpful, as i think that this small project would fit in the Samba models. And using a 7 Inch display would be better than the 3,5 inch from the Vision. Thanks BR
  22. Vision V350 has a good trend display library but I could not find a ready to use library to plot XY graphs where X does not means the time axis. Sometimes you might need to relate two values like temperature X pressure in a graph form in order to make a better process analysis for instance and proposed solution shows a method to create a cursor and move that cursor in a plot area in accord two distinct values like shown below: These two links below are about how to control the fan cooler PWM signal using a PLC (theory and practice) and the second one approaches the graphic design method. Part 1 - theory Part 2 - practise (Ladder and downloadable files) In time: All videos included in the post have English captions so you just need to enable them. Folks, I am not English native speaker so if you have tips and hints and fixes, please do not hesitate tell me what to improve. Thank you and hope it helps.
  23. Hello everyone, Did anybody solve FLAYING SHARE application with V350. Any idea is wellcome. Thank you all Best regards, djordjedjkgrs
  24. I have a PLC V350, I made a new project but when I download it to the PLC buttons and numeric inputs are not active in the HMI, let down the screen 5 seconds and activates the subruitna to calibrate the TOUCH but does not respond to buttons, probe with other projects examples downloading them coming in the software but no active buttons, I think something is wrong with the PLC. Or I need to activate the screen wil otherwise?
  25. Hello All, I apologize for the VERY basic questions I am about to ask but I am new to using a PLC to control a stepper motor. I have the drive and motor. I read the information included in Visilogic. I am still confused. I hate to ask but can someone please provide me with basic program to control the stepper drive. I want to provide an RPM and FWD/REV bit. I will answer any questions and will be monitoring this thread constantly over the next few days. Thank you in advance. Again, I apologize for such basic information but once I have a decent example I should be able to pick it apart and understand things.
