  1. Hello! I am trying to create a program that will extend a cylinder for 10 seconds with valve 1, retract after the 10s and have a running count of the cycle after it is retracted. While doing this, I want valve 2 to ‘dump' the air after valve 1 has been on for 5 seconds so there is no pneumatic force in the extend position after the initial 5 seconds of valve 1 opening. Is this possible? Any insights would be greatly appreciated! I am using VisiLogic to write my program and V130-33-T2 hardware. Please advise!
  2. Hi guys! I am trying to install the latest version of VisiLogic, but it is not possible in my Windows 10 x64 (PRO) laptop. Trying in a VM with Windows 7 works fine... Any idea?
  3. ANSWER : I made it work! When I tried to connect basic 4 wire telephone cable to both end (modem and plc) it worked immediately. Seems that DB9 connector that came with modem kit had already cross crimped pins inside it. Guys help please, I can't initialize COM 2 so that I can connect my modem (Cinterion) to that port so that I could send message when error happens. I added few pictures so that you can see that my SB82 never goes active, why is that? I am using method stop - download - reset so that power bit goes on but port is not initialized Can port be initialized even if I don't have any device connected to that port? I am using Visilogic 1210 and Cinterion modem New edit: I found this in Cinterion documentation: "Now you can connect the modem to the PLC using the 9 Pin connector MJ10-22-CS76 via cable 4 wires." Does anyone has wiring schematic for this "9 Pin connector MJ10-22-CS76 via cable 4 wires". Here is how I connect modem to visilogic, is this correct?
  4. Hi there, this is my first time working with unitronix plc and I have some problems with understeanding how does modbus communication works. I am using visilogic 1210 plc and I want to read some parameters from Iskra FPC400. I want to use modbus because FPC400 only supports rs485 communication. First I did set up com port and configured modbus. (As you can see from pictures that I included) I want to read 27 parameters from FPC400 (As you can see from picture that I included, I want to read 27 parameters from adress 4112 - 4139 ) and store them in 27 different variables in my plc. (MI4000 - MI4027) As I understood, I need to set start of vector for reading variables as 4112 and length needs to be 27, and start of vector on my plc is 4000. Does this means that program will read 27 parameters and store them into my plc starting from MI 4000 to MI4027?
  5. Greetings all. First round setting up a RTD and, after reviewing forum posts here, I believe I am more confused than before... but likely an easy answer for most around here as I'm much more of a software guy. Our setup: V700 Model with an RTD going to a IO-ATC8. I do not have the RTD model# on me at the moment (typing this after hours but can provide tomorrow) but I know that the RTD contains a Prosense XTH-0300F-PT1 transmitter (0-300 degree F even though the RTD itself is capable of a much larger but unneeded range) I understand that the IO-ATC8 is 14bit. The confusion: I've seen forum posts where the linearization block references the "resolution @ 4-20mA" stated by the RTD/transmitter (I cannot locate this on the spec sheet for the model listed above, or maybe it's called something other than "resolution" but means the same thing?). I've also seen where the linearization is based off the 14bit module (3277 - 16383) - which is in line with what we did with level sensors... aaaand I've seen where, in other cases, an RTD does not require additional linearization (other than dividing by 10, but I assume this is for 10bit setups?). Any advice would be appreciated with a layman's outline of rationale. Cheers!
  6. Good day, Please find attached some images with the problema that occurs at the time of oppening a Project in VisiLogic versión 9.8.65. The first error that appears is the "Load 12Type mismatch" and when you click to the "Ok" button and try to open another display it appears the second message "Run-time error '13': Type mismatch". I have read a post where the response was to put a DLL in the VisiLogic folder. I have tryed this solution but it does not work (post was from 2015 and other VisiLogic versión). Let me know if you have some solution! Thank you,
  7. So on the V700, whenever a numeric keypad is pulled up, I have to touch the top half of the button to get it to register. this can be kind of frustrating, because the buttons are long and narrow and it usually takes a couple tries to get it to work. I know its a software issue because there's a border that surrounds the touchable area when the button is pressed and it only covers about 60% of the button. when the button is pressed in the center, it does not register.
  8. Hello there, i'm trying to find a way to Initialize the TCP/IP card with the IP,Mask, default Getaway from the data that i initially put in the device through the Information mode. I found the Retry and Timeout Registers (SI 101,102) but i can't find the IP, Mask and default getaway to Dynamically Initialize the TC/IP card. I don't want to have different .vlp's for each device. P.S. i also saw the MI option but it would put unnecessary complexity to the ladder program (need to have two modes in start up etc.). thanks in advance, Nassos
  9. Today I had a problem with a timer from a big program made in Visilogic. 2 months after downloading a new program into the V130, a timer changed itself from 00.00.00.09 to 99.59.59.99. The timer is only used by one contact and one coil. Did anyone ever experienced this too? And how can I prevent it from happening again? Thank you!
  10. Hi everyone, We want to report the data records that we keep daily via e-mail at the end of the day. We have implemented the shipment with the help of examples but we have problems sending the data records in the form of an excel report. Columns and rows are interfering. Thanks for yours support ...
  11. I am trying to communicate between my visilogic PLC software and V350 series PLC controller using direct USB programming cable (USB A to USB mini B). I have downloaded and installed the mini USB driver from unitronics website. but am continuously getting the same problem "Windows found your software but encountered a problem while installing it" Please find my attached Screenshot ..
  12. Hello, I am using a V570 with V200-18-E2B snap IO. Software version is 9.8.65 I am linearizing a pressure sensor (4-20 ma) to be able to read from 0 to 30.00 inHg. As you can see in the image below I made y2 a value of 3000 to be able to display it with 2 decimals in the HMI. However I still need to get it with 2 decimals into a Float (MF) to be able to convert this value to mbar by multiplying it by 33.86. So basically what I can't figure out is that if I get a value 3000 (30 inHg) I need to be able to put into a float 30.00, If I get 15 should be able to put into a float 00.15 and so on. Is this something that can be done by using Num to Ascii and putting the ascii value into 2 MIs? then using those 2 MIs into a float convert A+b/n? I am hoping somebody point me in the right direction in how to achieve this. Thanks in advance
  13. Dear forum members, hope u all r doing well, I cannot able to fix this simple concept pls provide solution for this below, 1.I have connected 1 pump and when my input bit is on my pump will ON. On timer is 10 sec ON and off timer is 30 sec OFF, now i facing problem is how to vary my pump timer via hmi screen i cant able to call my timer address...pls provide solution for this regards, mohamed
  14. Hello friends, I am new to Unitronics hardware and have about 1 year experience with ladder logic (studio 5000 up to this point). I am tasked with writing a program for a machine that uses the following components and I just need some help on choosing the right Unitronics PLC and what snap-in's I will need to work with the components: -conveyer belts (1 requires indexing/location tracking) -motor driving an actuator -motor moving a tray back and forth along rails -9 load cells I am leaning towards the Vision 350 TR20 currently, and it looks like the IO-LC3 module supports up to 3 load cells each, so I will need a PLC that supports at least 3 expansion ports (one for each IO-LC3) Also, in general I am wondering about how servos/motors are added to a program using Unitronics, it seems like there us usually a data bit to enable the servo (maybe controlling the power supply) and then a bit representing motor go/stop? Any help you all have is greatly appreciated, thank you in advance!
  15. Greetings, I'm new to this form and to Unitronics PLCs and I would like to ask for some help/ I previously programmed "allen bradley" PLCs using a software called "RSLogics". The were 4 programming languages that I can use to build the PLC program. However, VisiLogic doesn't have "Structure text" language. I already have done the analog conversion using formulas and created the HMI, but I'm stuck now The program that I am trying to make is simply as follows: A number is written using the HMI and stored in a variable. This number is then compared to analog reading of the pressure sensor. If the numbers were different, then one analog output will be changed to reflect the number entered using the HMI - which will control a pressure regulator. Could anyone please help me with this issue ? Many thanks, Qassim
  16. I am having issues trying to run the live update tool in VisiLogic to update a PLC's operating system. When I check for updates for the operating system I get the error message attached (Error Code 176). I have a perfectly fine internet connection at the time the live update tool is ran. This problem occurs in VisiLogic 9.5.0.
  17. Hey all, I am new to Visilogic and I am trying to follow through tutorials. I am currently trying to interface a single EX-RC1 via CANBus to a V570. On the EX-RC1 I have a IO-DI16 and IO-RO16. I have tried to download the sample Visilogic programs to the PLC, however, I am not entirely sure if I am doing it correctly. I have flashed the V570_CAN Master for EX-RC1.vlp on the V570 successfully, however, the screen shows "COMM ERROR UNIT #2". When I tried to download the EX-RC1.vlp to the PLC it says "The PLC model selected in this project's Hardware Configuration conflicts with the model with which you are communicating." I am programming through the USB cord to the V570 with a baud rate of 115200. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Greg
  18. How to realize correctional signal in PID block using Control value(CV) from another PID block?
  19. Hello everyone, I'm still learning with this hardware. I am working on a project for which I need to totalize a flow that comes from an analog signal. I wonder if there is a function block that does it, or how to do it. Thank you!
  20. Hello, Im getting error when I try to run VisiLogic software . Google tell's its connected somehow with VBA. But I cant fix this error. Any ideas?

  22. Hello all, I just recently began my job programming PLCs for a custom welding manufacturer, so there will be many different types of programs to brainstorm and create. I am VERY new to programming itself let alone Visilogic and PLCs in general, no past experience aside from a few linux classes before coming into this job(unrelated just my only programming experience prior). That being said, I'm learning ladder logic and Visilogic from the ground up and was hoping a few of you gurus could point me in the right direction to make my learning process a bit smoother than it'd be with just google and I. To familiarize myself and experiment with the program I am using a Unitronics v350-35-ta24(B) with the 4.3 O/S. Attached to my PLC are a few digital inputs and outputs as well as an analog input and output. I have watched all the webinars on the website 5 times through, even the ones I don't understand. It seems there is a void in tutorials between the basic introductory buttons/timers videos and the complicated vectors, strings, etc. I have somebody nearby to tell me how to do what I want, but the resources to teach myself and learn in my own way seem to be lacking somewhat unless I am missing the right videos somewhere on the internet, though I have searched far and wide, to infinity and beyond, etc. At this point I can do the basics as far as buttons, jumps, timers are concerned, my only confusion with contacts at this point is how to incorporate inverted contacts/coils smoothly which I feel will come as I design my programs and find my pace. My purpose of this post was to collect as much research material as possible that I may not know of yet, any relevant videos or forums/posts/documents about ladder logic, programming, or specific Visilogic that would help me better understand the language I am attempting to teach myself. The software is very easy to understand and work with, as well as the videos/forums that I have found so far; and you all do a great job at responding to questions on here. If anything comes to mind that might help a toddler in the Visilogic world mature a little bit it would be greatly appreciated. At this point I am really trying to master using contacts in sequence to perform AND statements, using them "stacked"(for lack of better term) as OR statements, and trying to master my motor and PID instincts. I know this is a vague request and nothing exactly specific, but any examples of simple old code you may have from when you were learning or from simple programs you had to do, websites you refer to in order to refresh your memory or thought process, or ANYTHING informational about basic Visilogic and/or programming would be greatly appreciated. Hope you all have a great weekend, Derek Godown
  23. Hello together, i try to measure the Speed of Rotation (between 1000 1/min and 8000 1/min) with a Samba SM43-J-TA22 and an capacitiv sensor with one srew on the Motor shaft. When i use the High Speed Input in the Hardware Configuration (Frequency Measurment 1000msec) i have an very bad Resolution (Value 16 * 60 = 960 and next Value 17 *60 =1020). I've tried to use the "Freq<- HSC" building block, but it doens't work with my values. For example im not sure what i have to chose for the Channel A, because I can chose HSC 0, HSC1 and HSC2 there but I only have two HS channels on my Samba Controller. Is this the right way to measure the Speed of Roation more exactly? If yes can you give me an example how i have to config the block, and if i have to set up the High Speed Input in the Hardware Config? Thank you very much. Kind regards Stefan
  24. Hello everyone, I am very new in programming with Visilogic. Everything is fine despite the fact that the coulor of the pixels change if I touch the display. These marks will be deleted if i switch between the screens. I dont know why this happens because it is really annoying but i couldn't found anything on the internet to stop this. I hope someone can help me! Best regards Fabian
  25. Good day. Somebody tell me please how to change number of digits in fractional part in the numeric variable in case if this variable shows floating point number? (It is set to 9 by default) I use the VisiLogic OPLC IDE version 9.8.31 Build 0 I tried to change number of digits on 2 but when I opened my variable again I saw that number of digits was set to 9 again Thanks in advance
