Hello all, I'm pretty new to controllers but I have done some research around. I have sensor data, along with real time data that i'd like to store in a data table and transfer it once a day to my PC. The sensor works all the time, so i'd like to store sensor data every 60 seconds inside the table, and one a day (1440 lines) to send it as a .csv file. My local Unitronics supplier suggested my to get USC-B3-T20 for this application. Problem is that the data table stays empty for some reason, information won't push into the table. Hi, I'm trying to build a log for my system using the Store DTI to File function. This runs after the struct containing the date is inserted into row 0 of a table, which should be appended immediately to the log file. The writes are sufficiently spaced (~30 minutes) that the SD write interval isn't an issue. I've found that when using option 2 "Only CSV" for the "Create CSV" input (F), the file is simply overwritten, and only ever contains 1 row. Option 1 "Create CSV File (All - udtf,csv,csv.zip)" does append correctly. In both cases "Append to File" (E) is set to 1 "Data will be appended to the file". This looks like a bug to me, and combined with the missing documentation for those options, I've wasted a little more time than I'd like trying to figure that out. Option 1 is an acceptable workaround, so I don't need further support, but this should be fixed. Sandy

What is the most efficient way to store date and time in an excel table so that it is easily view able in Excel? I converted it to a string, but the strings take up too much PLC memory. Excel can't natively interpret Unix time, so that won't work either. Is there something else Excel can interpret that I can store it as?

Dear All, I am doing as follow: import a CSV file (copied from USB stick in the "data folder") with a single row of 23 Strings (each String is 25 lenght); create a UDTF file from this CSV; upload the UDTF to a DTI; read the DTI row. each of these action is done in a specific ladder rung; each rung check if the previously action was perfomed without problem...then at the end my CSV is converted; the DTI il filled with right values but when I read the DTI row I don't have any error (exist status "0") but the struct variables is not filled (all single field is empty)...I tried to write the DTI with the same struct and all works...the DTI take the new value...I forced the action (cvs->udtf->dti->read) then the DTI take the value of the CSV file but nothing change...the struct fields still have the previusly values. what can be wrong?

Hello. Am programing Unistream PLC model USP - 070-B10/B08. The program i need to make is User Logs with Data table. With UAC i add needed users also am making Data Table indexed and am writing the logs (log in or out ) into the data table. Also there is a possibility to enter in the HMI the batch number/lot that is later added to the Data Table depending on the user who is logged in at the moment. After that with a button on the hmi i set bit and Store DTI to file block is added. As i can see everything is good and this DTI block does not give me error. After i open the ftp server the SD CARD is empty. I chose in DTI file block to save it as .csv file format. I have no idea what might be happening. The sd card is 16 G card that i format FAT32. Please Help Thanks.

Dear Sir, I'm using UniStream PLC and I have log Data to data table and make data table Retain. i have problem it that Data table row is limited for retain Data because data table save in RAM. How make data table directly into SD Card? And any way to show Data which in SD card directly HMI Data Table?

Hey, Each day we want to start writing data to a new file. Our file name string is updating fine using the rtc to ascii UDFB, but our store DTI to File status turns 1 when the filename is updated with the new date. Then after another full "day" it becomes -35. However if we never change the filename the data recording continues to work fine. I apologize if this is already explained in another forum but I wasn't able to find one. Thanks for any help your willing to give.

Hey, What is the best way to get a column to show the Date and Time information? Right now I have a separate column for each feature like month, day, year, hour, min, second but that's definitely too bulky. I can't seem to find how to create a single string of the date and time information, what would be the best way to solve this? Thanks.

Hello, We are able to log sensor data to the data table, we record it once every 5 seconds. However, after 10 recordings we are trying to write the 10 lines to a csv file. (Ideally appending it) Firstly, appending just doesn't work (when we put the 1), the file doesn't update at all. When we put 0 to override, the values go in but only one and a half rows. Any ideas? Thanks!

Dear All, I have a Struct that have 13 variables (String, Bit, and uint32); I created 4 global variablea to record these datas; I have created a DTI with a single row to take these information and save into a file if some event arise. When the event arise I don't have to record all the informations as these are but I have to modify a litte; then when the event arise I store one of the global struct into a local struct (same struct) , write this in the DTI and copy (append) this DTI in the file (already present). what I have is that if I use a LOCAL struct the data is store with "wrong value" (strange characters) and also the last value that is a BIT is stored in a 14th column in the csv file that don't exist; if I use a global Struct (convert the local to global) all works. I don't tried to "reset" the local Struct, to inizialized, before populate it...but until now (other projects), if I well remember, was not necessary. I am using last version of Unilogic 1.26.

Hello, I am attempting to create a system in which every time someone rings the wireless door bell, it communicates with the PLC and keeps a log of the time and date at which the button was pressed. I am almost done, and only need assistance when indexing down a row (copying the data from the previous row and writing it to the next). I see there is a indexing row tab on the button, but i need help understanding the function in and out tabs and how to use them successfully within my program. Any help would be appreciated. So I am a beginner when it comes to not only unitronics software, but PLC's in general. I am tasked to connect 2 door bells (one in the front, one in the back) to the PLC and create a program that once one of the buttons has been pressed, it sends a signal to the plc which activates a horn and tower lights (depending on the door). My problem is creating a data table that acts as a log. It is supposed to keep track of - 1. the time when a button is press, and - 2. the date. Also one other question, the timer off command doesn't seem to work in my programming, which is supposed to turn off the outputs after 5 seconds. of being activated, Thanks, I know it is a lot but any help would be appreciated.

Dears All When I create a DT I have to referred this at a specific STRUC; when I save this DT to a .csv file the "column" will take the name of the variables; exist a way to change the column name's? I mean...for example...usually my project include Italian, English, French and Dutch languages because who, usually, committed me the jobs has customers in different country...what I need is if I have a struct variable like: myStruct.hello the column in the csv file will be, referred at the language selection, "hello" or "ciao" or "salut" or "hallo"...is possible without create 4 different struct?

I'm having a problem with the data tables in a UniStream PLC. Sometimes one column of the data table had been shuffled randomly. Does anyone know about this problem? The data table is retained and battery is OK.

I'm recording daily rainfall in mm to a datatable. How might I go about setting the decimal place in the data table to a resolution of xxx.x mm? Is it also possible to hide the # on the HMI data table display? Developers: It would also be nice if we could adjust the Row Heights as well... TIA

dears All, I will have to modify an old project where I used a lot of retained tags (was my first project and I was not very skilled...for sure worst than now 😁 )...I want to replace the retained tags with a struct referred at a DTI...then save this on the SD. my question is...if I will upload a new project , the same but with more UDFB-tags etc, the retained tags that are used at the moment still contain the same value or will be reset? just to know if I can do this without problem, because I will also update the PLC version, or if I have to think something to save the retained tags and upload these later. thanks

This is my first unitronics program. I want to control 6 motors to multiple sets of pre-set data (probably 50 data sets). My idea is to have all pre-set data stored in the Data Table Recipe. Once a data set is selected then got assigned to Data tables to execute the program. I am struggling with the data set selecting GUI. I don't know how to create either a list box or what which can display all data set saved in the Data Table Recipe. Any suggestion or example I can look into. Appreciated.

Hi All, I have a Data Table with fixed values that by reading a row and a column I can load a certain value into a program. I have set the Data Table to be retained and when I power down and back up all values are still there. - What happens when the PLC battery dies? Are values in the Data Table still retained? - There is the option to save the Data Table to SD card. Is it possible to load a Data Table, complete with values, from an SD card into the PLC on power up? Regards, Denis

Hi people! I'm developing a project with UniLogic v1.25.61 for the UniStream USP-104-B10. I need to sort an entire Data Table (2 columns, A and B), sorting just one column (A), has anyone ever try this? The other option is to have 2 arrays (A and B), sort one (A) of them and then I need to sort the other one (B) the same way I sorted the first one (A). I don't know if I'm being clear enough so here you have an example: Before sorting: A={1,4,2,3} B={Q,W,E,R} After sorting just column A or array A: A={1,2,3,4} B={Q,E,R,W} Thanks in advance! Hi All, I'm storing data in a Data Table. Once a day I write the data to a file using the "Store DTI to File" instruction. It all works well and a file is created. I'm then using Excel VBA to read the data in one line at a time. The issue I am having is that the CSV file has comma "," separating the lines. How do I get the Unitronics software to install a line break after each row from the data table?

I have a large Data Table (Indexed) that I need to rearrange the columns. According to the online tutorial that can be done, but it doesn't explain how. It also doesn't seem to be addressed in the Help file. None of the common sense ways seem to work. Anyone know how to do this in UniLogic?

Dear Sir, Please help on following DTI usage. I am using EXCEL sheet as attached for showing volume of tank. We have 2 conditions. 1. NEGATIVE TRIM 2. POSITIVE TRIM. trim is calculated by our sensor. The height of the liquid is also calculated by pressure sensor. From the liquid height according to positive or negative trim, select the volume from the cell. This value want show in a numeric box. For example, I know my tank list is positive and sounding is 0.25 and trim of 1.5, as per excel sheet my volume will be 5.12 Metric cube. Want to pick this 5.12 value and show in numeric box. if in negative trim, at 0.25 depth and negative trim of 1 my volume will be -0.67 metric cube. From excel sheet how I can select using DTI I marked it red for ease of reading. Can you help on this please. I have limited access to internet. cannot search and study the examples.
