  1. The award-winning Vision controller series welcomes its newest member—the Vision430™. The beautiful, wide 4.3" built-in color touchscreen brings added value to any application that requires a compact PLC controller with onboard I/Os. The touchscreen and five function keys are housed in a flat fascia with an IP66/IP65/NEMA4X rating—a fine fit for the food and pharmaceutical industries. Each Vision430™model offers a unique onboard I/O configuration that can include digital, high-speed, and analog I/Os, including PT100/Thermocouple and weight/pressure measurement. Expansion modules enable local and remote I/O at distances of up to 1000 meters, making Vision430™ a cost-effective solution for applications up to 512 I/Os. Power features include 24 auto-tuned PID loops to control temperature, level, and pressure. Time-based and immediate interrupt support make Vision430™ a natural for ‘rapid response’ applications such as packaging machines. Built-in recipe capabilities are supported by Data Tables, which store the parameters required to control a specific process. Data Tables also enable the controller to store data logs to micro-SD card. The micro-SD card also stores application back-ups, and allows complete PLC cloning. Communication options include Ethernet, cellular, and industrial protocols such as MODBUS, DF1 slave, BACnet, J1939, CANopen and more. In addition, the ‘Protocol’ utility allows Vision430™ to communicate via almost any ASCII protocol. The unit can be directly accessed via mini-USB programming port, and remotely accessed using GPRS/GSM/CDMA and other IP networks for data acquisition and program download. Another major benefit is the ability to notify supervisors of critical information via e-mail and SMS, enabling real-time remote management. The machine operator communicates directly with the application via the resistive analog touchscreen—or remotely, via the free Remote Operator utility—which displays data, color trend graphs, and attention-grabbing alarm screens. Display options are almost endless, with more than 1024 user-designed screens supported by 12 MB of memory for images and 1MB for fonts. OEMs and machine builders profit from intuitive, all-in-one VisiLogic software that enables rapid hardware configuration, PLC, and HMI application programming. VisiLogic includes a full library of Drag & Drop function blocks for complex automation control tasks, such as PID, and a rich, FREE color library of industrial images. Produced by Unitronics, a global developer and manufacturer of PLC + HMI controllers, Vision430™ is backed by Unitronics standard policy of customer care, includings FREE software and utilities, plus FREE personalized technical support. This combines with reduced overall system costs—minimized hardware requirements, saved cabinet space, and reduced Panel-PLC –I/O wiring—to bring an excellent price-performance ratio. 2. Anyone know if the Unistream platform would be capable of handling up to 32 analog inputs and 36+ digital outputs? This would be controlled via RS485 through a banner serial radio (link below). The master radio (wired to the unistream) would have 4 or 5 slave radios wired rs485 to 4 or 5 remote i/o devices (red lion i/o link below). http://www.bannerengineering.com/en-US/wireless/surecross_web_multihop http://www.redlion.net/product/ethertrak-2-io-module-32-mixed-inputsoutputs I'm not looking for super fast speeds but it needs to be dependable. There will be no analog outputs or highspeed counters if that makes a difference.
  3. Hello, I'm currently trying to make a PLC program and HMI interface with UniLogic. The problems I've faced so far: Is it possible to set a default colour for buttons and backgrounds? Say for example you make a new screen, it's set to light blue, when I'd like it to be a different colour. And the default colour for buttons is darker blue when it'd be great to be able to set the default colour yourself. Or if you could set your own colour palette (for example replace the dark blue with dark green, and light blue with light green). The "border thickness" of buttons doesn't work with black (FF000000). No matter how thick I set the border, it just makes the button smaller. Making "border" a taboo search word on the forum doesn't help eighter. If I make the colour FF000001 instead of FF000000, it works. So having FF000000 as the default colour isn't really that effective. I also find it very irritating how when I set a colour, if I move the mouse outside of the colour selection window it reverts back to what it was. I have moved the mouse outside of the window several times accidentally and it can be quite frustrating. When I started out with an empty screen, I tried to place a button. I accidentally tried to set the "start position" of the button outside the border of the screen, so when I released the mouse button, UniLogic crashed. Some positive things to even it out: I really like the little preview window when you hold your cursor over a screen <3 Thanks, Exouxas
  4. I need to come up with a panel design that use a Unistream HMI but can be used in a hazardous area. The Area could be C1 or C2 and D1 or D2. Since the Unistream HMI is only rated for use in a NEMA 4/4X area, I would need to put a window over the HMI. The problem then is that the operator cannot touch the screen. I need to find a way to select items on teh screen without touching the screen. I am hoping that there is a way I could use a joystick or mouse to be able to control a cursor on the screen and then click where needed. Is there a way to do this? If not, are there any plans to impliment mouse or joystick control on the HMI?
  5. Do you guys ever thought about the idea of a portable handheld model that will support only local and remote I/O (No I/O on board)? There are applications where freedom of movement is required. An example is the following: http://en.kinco.cn/productById?kind=1&id=88 It would be great to see something like this in the future!
  6. Anyone have some example programs of some animations. I would love to show moving flow in some pipes on the HMI
  7. Hello, I want dynamic text to buttons, listbox or combobox. How do I do that?. Jan Martijn
  8. Samba™ is an all-in-one palm-sized HMI + PLC + onboard I/Os. As a trendsetter in the field of all-in-one PLC + HMI integrated controllers, Unitronics has specifically developed Samba for applications that require PLC control, but that are limited by budget to simple text displays. System integrators and OEMs often develop applications that require PLC control, but that settle on simple text displays due to limited budget. Samba's beautiful HMI 3.5” QVGA 16-bit touchscreen enables data entry and display of variable data, including color Trend graphs and alarm screens. The HMI supports 24 user-designed screens, and up to 40 images per application. The integrated PLC controller offers a broad range of features including 2 auto-tuned PID loops, time-based RTC control, datalogging, recipes and more. Internal memory holds 0.5 MB of application logic, plus 512K for fonts and 0.5 MB for images. Onboard I/Os offer digital, analog, and high-speed functionality. The flat fascia and IP66/IP65/NEMA4X rating makes Samba an excellent fit for the food & pharmaceutical industries--ideal wherever spray/wipe down requirements apply. Samba offers a built-in RS232 port. You can add an additional RS485 serial, Ethernet, or CANbus port. Samba supports GPRS/GSM, email, SMS, as well as industrial TCP/IP protocols, MODBUS, DF1 slave, CANopen, J1939 and more—and it may be adapted to any 3rd-party protocol. Unitronics free VisiLogic software provides a single simple environment for hardware and communications configuration, Ladder application development, and HMI design, including a free library of industrial images. Free utilities support remote PC access and data export. Unitronics offers free technical support for all of their products, and an active user forum. Samba offers all the functionality system integrators need for small applications, reduces space requirements, wiring, and eliminates the need to set up Panel-PLC communication—resulting in an excellent price/performance ratio. 9. Hi Experts I am new to Unitronics (started to work on it this Monday) and I am pretty impressed by its capabilities. I wonder if somebody could advise me if its possible to send text values through SMS and display it on Vision 230 OPLC. So far I could transfer numeric values but passing strings would be very helpful as well. Please help.
  10. Hello, I want to use in my application controller HMI touch panel UniStream. I want to measure the three analog values, and visualize it on a graph. I want to connect the printer to panel. Can I print these trends? What functions to use to print my trends? Marcin
  11. Hi all, I've been spending almost one day looking how I could compare to ASCII strings without success unfortunately. The idea is to compare a string from the HMI (username) with a String inside a user account data table loaded into a struct row after row. This is just to be able to make a kind of login function with user and password protection. Guillaume
  12. Hi all! We have string data types available now, and a whole category of ladder stuff for searching and manipulating them, never the less, I cannot find any way to display a string on the HMI (analog to the ASCII String variable in VisiLogic). Where is this hide? Is there a way to invoke a variable within a fixed (or other) text object?

  14. Hi there, After trying to compile a project I have been working on it suddenly came up with 600+ errors. All of the errors were of the form "'element name' can not have both 'Touch' and 'Hide' linked to the same operand". After looking at a few of the elements affected it was clear that every single element in my project had all of its empty links set to MB 524. Up until a couple of days ago, my project compiled and downloaded successfully. Now there are 3306 instances of MB 524 in my project. For example: The "Links" section on a binary text variable. Before After Link: MB 1069 MB 1069 Hide: MB 524 Disable view: MB 524 Marking view: MB 524 Legal entry: MB 524 Touch: MB 524 I am using VisiLogic Version 9.5.0 Build 0 I am not sure if this is a bug I have found or something I could have caused. Either way, I would appreciate any help figuring out how to remove MB 524 from every link so I can compile my project. (I would prefer not to have to manually remove all 3306 instances) Please let me know if there is any additional information I could provide in resolving this issue.
