Has anyone had an opportunity to make a Unistream communicate to a PLC5 from AB. the PLC5 has Ethernet connection but uses MSG instructions.

Hi, I have a customer that is looking to use a Unitronics PLC to add additional outputs to their existing system. The main system runs on a .net application, so the PLC would be mainly used to set/reset a MB or Output at a particular time. The response time needs to be pretty fast, likely a few milliseconds from PC send to output state change. Which communication method would be the fastest or would they be roughly the same? - PCOM - .NET driver - Custom protocol with short command sent from PC and received via FB protocol scan. Just getting a feel on how I should build the PLC communications class. Thanks,

Hello everyone! I'm actually studying Automation and I have to make some practices with the Vision 130 RA22. Recently, I have downloaded many manuals about software and specification but I have not found anything related for operating the keypad and I have a problem my former classmates had configurated the Vision 130 to use it with a RS485 and I have a RS232. how can I reset or configurate my PLC to use it again with RS232? this is my e-mail: alfonsoxme90@gmail.com I'd really appreciate your help... -
I have a project were I am using an Enfora GPRS modem to make IP calls back to a web connected machine. This works very well and I have set it up to receive text messages via GSM. I want to use the received text to trigger a call back on GPRS to an IP specified in the text. I have found the function to convert the IP to a text but not text to IP. Is there one? If not how is the decimal storage of an IP formatted so I can do via math / string functions? Thanks in advance Andy -
Hi everyone, I'm having problems communicating with Jazz units via USB. I've installed the STMicroelectronics driver, the virtual COM port is shown in the device drivers. And I can actually communicate with the unit initially, but at some point the software can not detect the Jazz anymore. I've rebooted the Jazz, rebooted my PC, re-installed the driver, and just can't link to the Jazz via USB anymore. I actually tried with a different Jazz unit with the same results. The serial communication via the JZ-PRG works fine (not at the same time I use the USB off course). The versions I have are: U90 6.6.0 (DB 109) JZ20-R16 (latest firmware) Windows 7, 64 I'll appreciate your suggestions. Thank You!
