  1. Hi all. For a few years, I have been using the HSC frequency measurement on the V350. My program uses the example that was given by Unitronics and I have not altered it much. Suddenly, my programs have stopped working when I download them to a new PLC. The HSC behaves unusual and gives me false readings. My program is to control micro water turbines and it uses HSC to measure the frequency of the generator. I am using a simple frequency converter that gives me pulses into my HSCO port. The pulses are 50Hz and I confirm using a digital meter that the input receives 50Hz. In the hardware setting, I define my input in the HSI(RELOAD) tap that my counter target value is 50 and I enable Reload on startup (See Hardware setup in attachment). Now in the ladder program, I define the "Frequency Measurement based on HSC" function block as shown in the picture. When I run the program on my V350 I receive signal to my input and the actual HSC value is incrementing. I can see the number goes 50 steps for about 1 second so it's counting right (50Hz gives 50 pulses). But my frequency seems to be off from the function block. See this video: https://streamable.com/ovzps I measure about 62.11Hz with the function block. The status message for the Frequency block jumps between 0 and 16. Zero means normal behavior but there's no explanation on what 16 means in the manual. Now if I change the Permissible delta (C-in the function block) to RAW measurement and start it again, this happens: https://streamable.com/tbt24 The counter slows down (lags) and I measure about 10Hz, and that makes no sense. Should I not receive about 50.00Hz? out of the function block? I tried to change PLC, tested on SAMBA and I am experiencing the same thing. What am I missing. The only thing that has changed (I think) is that I updated the Visilogic software and the firmware on the PLC. A test program is at the bottom if you want to see it for your self.   2. Good Morning All, I'm having a little difficulty with magnetic pickups. I have a V700 With the expansion adapter and two modules - the IO AI8 and a DI8 R04. I have an external 2-wire magnetic pickup that generates a sine wave Frequency with an amplitude of 1V+/- Based on the flow through a pipe with a turbine in it. In the wiring diagram, each counter/frequency shows a minimum of three wires at the pickup. Looking for guidance for how to wire this module in with the two wire pickup as described above... Any help is appreciated
  3. Hello together, i try to measure the Speed of Rotation (between 1000 1/min and 8000 1/min) with a Samba SM43-J-TA22 and an capacitiv sensor with one srew on the Motor shaft. When i use the High Speed Input in the Hardware Configuration (Frequency Measurment 1000msec) i have an very bad Resolution (Value 16 * 60 = 960 and next Value 17 *60 =1020). I've tried to use the "Freq<- HSC" building block, but it doens't work with my values. For example im not sure what i have to chose for the Channel A, because I can chose HSC 0, HSC1 and HSC2 there but I only have two HS channels on my Samba Controller. Is this the right way to measure the Speed of Roation more exactly? If yes can you give me an example how i have to config the block, and if i have to set up the High Speed Input in the Hardware Config? Thank you very much. Kind regards Stefan
  4. Hello world, I have UniStream TP-070 with High Speed module UID-0808THS. I need to have measurement of speed of electric generator based on pulses from inductive sensor attached to the machine shaft. The frequency is typically 100 Hz for 50 Hz grid. I did not find the convenient way how to measure frequency with precision at least 0.1 Hz with update rate better than 1 sec. In VisiLogic, there is a block HSC->Frequency for High speed inputs (reload). I did not find similar way in UniLogic. Can someone help me? Thanks, Michal.
  5. Hi support and forum members I have successfully used the Visilogic project examples to log data using an SD Card. However, the example program uses SB13 to write data to the SD card every 1 second. This is far too frequent for my application. I want to log data every minute, or every 10 minutes. How can I reduce the write frequency? Do I need to use some delay timers? Can anybody assist me with the correct/optimal ladder for this. Picture of code attached. I'd also like to know how to display the free space in MB or GB left on the SD card Best Regards
