  1. Hi all, I'm new to this forum and wish to pick the brains of anyone that could suggest a fix for a very unusual problem is occurring on a vision 570 with v200-18-E3XB snap in. We have built 5 identical machines that are essentially batch fillers using the vision 570 with V200-18-E3XB. All machines have identical programs. We have a flow meter that pulses out 1 pulse for every gram of product or about 25 pulses per second. we feed this pulse into the HSC and totalise until the desire value is reached . simple! except one of the machines counts for a while , say a minute or two, then the plc decides to stop counting. the counting doesn't just stop , it ramps down to zero over a period of say 5 seconds. when this first occurred I check the wiring from the flow meter to the plc with a digital counting multi meter and all was good . It was then I noticed one of the connector block on the digital inputs wasn't all the way in . about 2 mm out . I pushed it in and the problem disappeared. problem solved I thought! but the the problem has come back and the connector blocks are all seating well. has anyone come across bad soldering on connections of input terminals on this product or know what else it could be ?
  2. I am using a IO-D16A3-RO16 and have 3 flow sensors I need to attach, I have two attached to the HSC and want to know if possible and how to do it, is connect the other flow sensor up to a standard digital input? The flow sensor can give a max pulse rate of 73.33 pulses per second.
  3. Hi I am new to visilogic and PLC's in general so excuse me if my question is a simple one. My PLC is a Vision 130, which has high speed inputs and outputs. I understand that with the use of PID function blocks you can produce a PWM output signal but I am looking to interpret a PWM signal from a device to the PLC. The device is a synchronisation relay to synchronise a generator to the grid. It produces the following: data is pulse width modulated SYNC: 8ms high 1: 4 ms high 0: 2 ms high ; a data packet consists of 10 bits data: first sync 8mS high then b0-b1-b2-b3-b4-b5-b6-b7-b8-b9 I want the controller to be able to read this 10bit data packet so I can use its analogue value within the program. Is this possible with the high speed inputs I have or will I need to convert the PWM signal to an analogue signal seperately and just use one of the analogue inputs on the PLC? Thanks in advance Adam
