  1. Can I use PTO for step motors in SM70-J-T20? If yes, how can I do this? I couldn't find "PTO Utilities" under menu "Utils"
  2. Good night. First I sorry for english. I'm have working with the PLC V350-J-TR20. I need help with PTO functions, especially with creation of channel. When download a error appears saying that on (PTO: SET Move "The channel is not initialized"). Follow the prints. PTO move: MI 8 status PTO=3 PTO stop: MI 9 status PTO=3
  3. I REPLACED A CNC CONTROLLER WITH V130-J-TR34 FOR CONTROLLING X,Y TABLE OF AUTO PUNCHING MACHINE FOR SHEET METAL. FEATURES 1. AUTO , SEMI AUTO , MANUAL MODE 2. SYNCHRONIZING THE X,Y TABLE WITH THE PRESS MACHINE. 3. SHEET METAL SIZE 2M x 2M UPTO 1000 HOLES POSITION CAN BE STORED 4. AUTOCAD FILE CAN BE TRANSFERRED TO PLC
  4. Hello all, I have an application with length measuring using encoder and HSC on V130-TR20. A want to drive(activate) a servo motor (paper cutting knife) always on counter reload for which I'm using _Interrupt HSC 2,3. But VisiLogic does not let me use PTO blocks inside interrupt (illegal element on interrupt subroutine) and do not let me call a subroutine (illegal element on interrupt subroutine). Any suggestions how to activate PTO in the same time while counter reload occurs?
  5. Hello, I have a bipolar stepper motor and drive which I control with an arduino board. I stumbled upon PTO whilst looking through the help section of visilogic. I have a v350 tr and would like to try and use PTO to control the stepper. Is it possible to use PTO for this? the driver requires 4 inputs, do you have to find a driver that only needs one pulsed input? Thanks in advance
  6. What does a status message of 1000 mean in the PTO Configuration block? In the help file it only lists messages as having numbers 0-8. I am using a V130-J-TRA22.
  7. I'm an electronics student at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology. I'm working with a V570 to attempt to implement stepper motor control. After trying to get the V200-18-E6B HSO to accomplish this and running into some difficulties running it forward and backward while monitoring its position I found that these kinds of functions appear much easier to accomplish with a PTO output. However, it does not appear that the V570 supports PTO. From what I've read I could utilize the EXF-RC15 to manage PTO. My question is this: will I be able to run my main program on the V570 and have it coordinate with the EXF-RC15 to accomplish PTO? If so, is this the most reasonable way to accomplish this or am I overlooking a more obvious solution? Thanks in advance for your help. -David
  8. Hi, I'm a new user and I've been trying to get a PTO pulse signal from one of the high speed outputs of my V130-33-TR34 to send to a stepper motor driver. I just got the PLC so it's set to default jumper settings. I pretty much followed the webinar on the Unitronics site and I'm pretty sure I did the wiring right (pin 1 on the transistor outputs to driver, pin 5 to PLC ground). Hooked it up to an oscilloscope and I don't get anything out. When I run the PTO move command, it turns the MB on for "PTO Move Success." Tried going into the HW Configuration and trying to get a PWM signal out by setting up one of those and initializing Frequency to 500, Duty cycle to 500 (50%), and then downloading a program with just ---|SB2|---(MB0)(S) where MB0 is the PWM "Run Bit" and still nothing. Anybody see something simple I overlooked or something I did wrong? If not, any ideas what might be going wrong? Thanks in advance
  9. We just finished an uptdate of a 1985 filler machine. Changed the wire logic and time based filling to a complete PLC control. A servo motor and the PTO command of the V350 are making a nice job. We are going to uptade 2 more. You can find a couple of videos showing the V350 and the servo in action.
  10. hi I am using a V350-35-TR20 plc and using the PTO function. In Unit and Pulse per Unit = 1 I am using the PTO move with Relative Position control. Every thing is working fine and the stepper motor is working as per my logic. But in the PTO Read status i am not geting the current channel position correct. it is showing + - 12 pulse extra. sometines it shows 12 pulse extra or sometimes it shows -12 pulse. Can any one suggest some solution for this.
  11. Hi guys, I'm thinking of buying the following 3-axis stepper motor kit from ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/US-Free-ship-3-axis-425oz-in-Nema23-stepper-motor-112mm-matched-driver-CNC-Kit-/251235147807?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a7ec8201f I will not use the breakout board included in the kit but i wil use a Unitronics V350-35-TR34 instead. My application requires simple, not very accurate positioning of 3 axes. My questions are the following: The driver accepts pulses of 5VDC while the PLC HSO is 24VDC. How can i convert the high frequency pulse to 5VDC? Also the Pulses are NPN type. Is this a problem for the driver? Thanks in advance
