  1. Hello Guys, I have trying a communication with a Unistream as a Slave and I'm having some problems. When I create a program on Unistream with 255 tags, the communication works ok and all address is read but when I add 1 more tag the program don’t work well. The master only can read about 175 address. In this case it does not matter the specific address, but the number of tags in the program. Does Unistream has a limitation on number of adress that can be read? Has anyone already had the same problem?
  2. Hello, I'm trying to comand an output with a button, but when I'm on online mode, the direct contact I use in the transition refer to the output don't work. I don't understand because it's a simple action. Bits are high but transitions don't go forward. Furthermore, there are some coils which stay activated without reasons. Thanks for your help

  4. We have an issue regarding the Modbus TCP/IP communication with a third party HMI(Weintek), the read only bits can be read but I can't seem to write data on the PLC, how can I match the address that unilogic uses to the Modbus Standard( 0x 1, 0x 2, 1X 1 and so on) does this address matches exactly to that standard, say, If we configure a Coil to address 1 read only does this translate to 0X 1?, and if a second coil is configured as address 2 read/write does this means 1X 1? or 1x 2?. As I stated before, Our master HMI can read the coils configured as read only, we can even read and write registers, but we haven't been able to write to the PLC.
  5. I am new to Unitronics and Unilogic. I 've successfully installed Unilogic on my Windows 7 machine and I had a chance to play with it. I am new to PLC programming and I thought the most efficient way to answer most of my questions is to read the getting started manual first before I spent any more time with Unilogic. I did not find any manuals with the installed program and I did not find any manuals online. Its stupid questions; Is there any Unilogic Manuals? Getting Started manual? I found some for Visilogic but nothing for Unilogic I searched the web all what I found is the YouTube videos. I apologize in advance if i missed the link or if somebody asked this question before. I would appreciate your help. Thank you
  6. If you haven't checked out the Unitronics Youtube for awhile, you may want to check out our UniLogic Tech Tidbits Playlist. The most recent Tidbit shows you how to create your own, reusable HMI Custom Controls. After you create a control, you can drag and drop it from the Solution Explorer, export/import it between projects as .uluce files, or add it to the Library. You can also define tags that are local to a specific Custom Control, these tags will be exported/imported along with the control. It's all in the link below!

  8. Hi all, This is an open invitation for you to suggest new ideas and thoughts for Unilogic UDFB's. It is very important for us to keep track of our customers needs. As part of this agenda we want to create and develop useful tools for your benefit. These UDFB's will be attached to the next releases of Unilogic. Please feel free to suggest any idea that seems useful. Thank you
  9. In the Unilogic built in alarms, you can select an 'on delay' or 'off delay' timer. These are fixed values, hardcoded into the programme. It would be nice to be able to link these to timer structs so that you can adjust the alarm time from the HMI in a running programme. I am aware that you could just write ladder code that uses the timer struct, and then call a bit to trigger the alarm, but it would be much nicer to implement as above
  10. Hi there, i'm not able to read 32bit float big-endian from Janitza UMG104. Connection is over COM1 in Modbus mode, periodic trigger activated by pushbutton and set slave-name (bit) to 1. This works fine for the Modbus TCP slave, which provide me system information. The powermeter i try to read, deliver me important informations which i later need to add together with sensor values to a data table. Reading fails at the point, the 32bit float comes in. I tried: Register addresses 19018 (current, A), 19026 (power, W) and 19034 (power, VA) with own Tags as REAL, with memory float array MF[MF_0] to MF[MF_2], reading the registers from normal table (1639) and with adding address value for little endian communication. Nothing works. Registers 19xxx provide most used values. The REAL goes to a REAL to INT converter, ouput is INT32. A try with GridVis and Janitza Modbus Diagnostic tool works fine, all 3 Register addresses with reading 4 bytes. When i take a look the the online state of the memory floats, i see flickering data. I will try the swap bytes extended, but i hope, you have generally an idea, what goes wrong and how i can fix this. Pictures follows later, when i'm back to work Enviroment: Janitza UMG104 (latest firmware), Unistream USP-156-B10 (latest firmware), Com1 38400/8/n/1 Modbus periodic, Modbus Slave ID 1. (yes, I'm new to PLC/HMI) BR
  11. Greettings, is there a way to export the csv file including the date in the file name? Currently I have the name "Refinacion" as the exported file name, I think it is overwritting this file every time it exports.
  12. I need to interface a Unistream with an Omron PLC. Specifically, the OMRON SYSMAC CJ2M CPU31. Omron requires an EDS file for all Ethernet/IP connections and a generic EDS file we found does not seem to work. The Unistream is configured as an adapter and the Omron is configured as the scanner. During testing, I did attempt to switch roles and have the Unistream as the Scanner and the Omron as the adapter, but neither configuration seemed to work. The error message in the Omron indicates a byte count issue; however, with the assistance of an Omron integrator, we confirmed that the number of bytes in and out of the Omron is correct.

  14. Hey all, The PLC I'm using is an Unistream 7". I'm writing an application where the PLC needs to communicate with a server through a TCP connection. Communication is established through a Restfull API; - PLC asks the server when needed for a list of all the configured items on the server. This list is JSON-formatted, will be parsed by the PLC and then loaded into a DTI for further use.. - PLC sends updates to server when an item has changed state. - Server sends commands to the PLC when an item needs to change state. Setting up the TCP client Rx was a breeze! Communicating with the server works like a charm if the received messages are smaller than the receiving buffertag of the TCP client Rx FB! (e.g. commands from server to PLC) If larger then the buffertag, the message will be truncated. (e.g. List of items send by server to PLC) => According the help-file: due to insufficient buffer size (user buffer) I noticed that a buffertag can be defined as a maximum of around 1600 bytes. I was wondering why this limit? And then again, if I could enlarge the buffer to say 3500 bytes and my list grows eventually beyond this limit.. So.. How do I receive a message that's larger then my predefined receivebuffer? What am I missing? Tnx in advance, SRO
  15. Hi, Any alternative to the vision series essential app "SD Card Explorer"? This PC application allow explore and download files stored on the SD card from remote, and I cant figure out how Unistream SD Card filed can be approached remotely. I was tinkling of sending files to FTP server, but how can I browse SD card from Unistream panel / (VNC) and select a file to send on FTP server? it seems that HMI element "Sd Browser" can only be use to transfer files to a local DOK. I believe that If it had the option of coping a selected file name to global tag (string) then it could be used with "FTP Send" function. For now the only solution I found is to use pen and paper to copy a file name from the list, and retyping file name somewhere else on the HMI, but there must be a better way... Thanks in advance to the appliers. Ofer
  16. Hello, I am/was completely new to Unitronics hardware, and thereby UniStream by default LOL, until of 9:00am this morning, so please do not assume any level of knowledge specific to the device. My apologies for the overly specific sequence of events to follow, but I need help and do not wish to loiter on how exactly things came to pass. 17. Hello I am new user in program unilogic I have a CPU USP 156-B10 (15) and connected to it EXRC1 and IO moduls. We used unilogic for local illumination in the company. How can to facilitate the use of time switching on/off different light with different time for a different schedule. In function of schedule can switched on and off an output (lamp). This is not a problem. I want the same schedule for all lamp to on and off a different outputs with different preset times.!!! how could be used this? thanks for halp Marko
  18. Is it possible to implement struct arrays in UniLogic? For example, I have a struct for a motor: STRUCT MotorData: BIT RunCommand BIT Feedback BIT IgnoreFeedback [retained] TIMER FeedbackDelay [retained] BIT Fault UINT8 FaultCounter [retained] UINT16 WorkingHoursTotal [retained] And I want to do: GLOBALVAR MyMotors: Type: MotorData[37] Because I have 37 motors to control. And then later, I want to do things like: SET ALIAS: MyMotors.RunCommand[12] = "Motor_K4-5A_Run" SET ALIAS: MyMotors.Fault[12] = "Motor_K4-5A_Fault" SET ALIAS: MyMotors.FaultCounter[12] = "Motor_K4-5A_FaultCounter" And other wicked things, like: if (Motor_K4-5A_Fault && Motor_K4-5A_FaultCounter < 255) Motor_K4-5A_FaultCounter++; This would ease things up so much! Instead of creating 37 individual global variables for each motor, I'll need only one.
  19. Hi all, Anyway to convert between string types? I would like to store an ASCII string to Data Sampler/User Comment 1 string that is build as UTF-32. while compiling the app get an error: Data type mismatch. Thanks in advanced, Ofer
  20. I have an application where the PV moves very fast. When a known disturbance or an anticipated disturbance occurs, I would like to pause the PID loop calculation and lock by CV where it is. I see that Unilogic has a Pause I&D calculation that seems to be the feature to use in this sort of situation but what I am wondering is whether or not I would have better results if I simply de-energized the PID Run Block and then re-energized it when the process is expected to be stable again. In other words, what is the difference in the calculation between simply removing the PID Run command and Pausing the I&D calculation?
  21. I am working on a Unistream Project that will use an EX-RC1 module with an IO-AI4AO2. Does anybody happen to have a Visilogic example File for this configuration?
  22. Hi, I happily discovered that the new update to UniLogic (1.16.44) now support using the additional COM-modules for Serial Modbus. But I can only configure the Master to use the COM-module (UAC-02RS2), not the Slave? How come? Regards Preben
  23. Hi, I got the PID documentation from another post in this forum, I'm getting the STATUS value of 2 in my PID config Struct, what does it mean? also How do I know if it is performing the autotune procedure?, My coding is quite similar from the video tutorial for PID, but when I try to run the PID autotune it stays there forever (I asumme this because the Autotune done bit never turns 1), and I see no action in my control value, it simply stays in 100% of the output value. From the documentation I think the status for normal operation is 4.
  24. Dear all, I am newbie to Unistream and Unilogic. I need help on how to change (vice versa) Read Only attributes of Numeric Box. Eg: Prevent the numeric box from access when "Auto Tuning" is enable (let's say the PID settings). Hopefully somebody could give an advise. Thanks, Salimin
  25. Greettings, I'm a Electrical Engineer from Venezuela currently developing an application using one of your PLC, a USP-156-B Unistream device,I was testing the behavior of the data table and data trend funtionalities and when booted to implement in my project, the PLC requested an SD card, I inserted an 8Gb Sandisk micro SDHC SD card and proceeded to manually reboot (turning the power down, and then back up). Now the PLC won't get past the black screen with the UniStream logo (I believe this is the boot up function) with or without the SD card. Is there a way to upload the firmware? or how do I solve this? I can't get into Uniapps.
