  1. One of your gray code pics? Started around then, didn't it?
  2. A recent ask on the forum where I suggested clients search their computers for any files marked *.vlp, triggered the thought that I should tell about a favourite program of mine. (This is NOT a forum recommendation, just a personal one for great performance. I am not linked in any way to the program makers.) It is Everything and is truly a life saver at times. Fully adjustable for what it looks at, super fast and easy to manipulate results. On startup the program races through updating it's database and then displays......everything....! Which you can then whittle down as much as you like using wildcards etc if needed. It is available in a variety of formats, and once you find how useful it is you might also send a few $s to the creator.... cheers, Aus https://www.voidtools.com/
  3. I did a goggles what the sign might be and apparently the red symbol means that you have posted something marked NSFW. I did a little search for the supposed cure but couldn't find it...... "You can go into User Settings --> Profile and turn NSFW off and the sign will go away. " Regardless, my thinking is that one of your attachments has an incorrect flag on it that triggered an automatic thing from Invision. In your retirement spare time you could perhaps go through some of your recent posts and (temporarily) delete some attachments and see if it cures it. Even if it doesn't help, it will have kept thems old fingers busy and provided some tremendous enjoyment moving the mouse around whilst cursing intermittently! cheers, Aus
  4. If there is an SD already in the 350, have you carefully checked it for any files? There might be a backup of the program on the card, if the original developer thought it OK. If they thought this way, there might be various named files which could be backups...of sorts. If you locate any files within the directory structure you will find already exisiting on the SD, save them and ask the forum about them. Or consult Visilogic help. Has the customer fully checked all their computers for any file with *.vlp? cheers, Aus
  5. What is the 130 showing? What is it doing? Do you have the .vlp file that was already loaded in the PLC?
  6. We were out for a walk tonight and it occurred to me.... If a wife and husband are walking along a narrow path, perhaps it should be called "married file" instead of "single file". 😉 Take care in the world, cheers, Aus
  7. No, not without the name. Without the name you can't get in....to get the name. If you could get in...you've got the name! From this I assumed that you were working at that site. Physical access to the 130 is needed. But even with the PLC name and subsequent access, you may find that you can't get the project code out of the unit anyway...it depends on how the it was loaded into the plc.
  8. Assuming that Info mode is not password protected, the default is 1111. Once Info is opened, go to 2 System, and then 3 SW Ver, and the name will be at the bottom. But if the name is longer than can be displayed, you'll have to ponder...! At least you'll have a start. cheers, Aus
  9. @Saragani I think this one is for the creators, please. Jhav, if this doesn't get a response I suggest you contact support. But.... What windows version? Have you tried on a W7 or W10 OS? Disabled A/V?
  10. This is a great spread, but as it looks to be fully potted I'm intrigued how it happened. Has it just done it on the surface after blowing a hole in the potting? And given it has eight "legs" was it simply a spider walking over the board? 🙃
  11. John, the warning sign is saying that the mind is too busy and a brain error is occurring. Old retired guys have less RAM available due to so much already in use, and the various inputs can create an overload much quicker than usual. cheers, Aus
  12. It is possible that you are doing everything correctly, but the type of comms you're trying is the issue. Most email servers only want to do secure comms these days, which is not inherent in Vision. One quickly found link about the issue, amongst others. https://forum.unitronics.com/topic/9604-sending-email-via-vision-software/#comment-41499
  13. And....... 1. Wondering if you are doing polling too quickly, and eventually the requests accumulate to the point of not being able to be handled? Especially if a retry is needed, you might possibly be exacerbating things by then getting into timing overlaps which might clang things completely. Perhaps try adding a longer delay b/n requests. Or...for a very simple initial test....drop the retries back to 1. 2. Implement an auto reset if a request is not received or handled properly within an appropriate time. Also attach a count to this reset to show how many time it occurs. To make it even better, also log time and date. cheers, Aus
  14. I've had occasional instances like Kratmel's where minor changes of many types don't seem to register properly. I get around this by altering something big, like a coil insert etc. then deleting it, and then doing the save. Flex, I also recall your method of altering images yourself to get transparency adjusting the single pixel. Maybe this throws the system somehow? What happens if you inspect the offending image when the tickbox goes off, to see what your pixel is then? cheers, Aus
  15. Hi Mal, Trends and other File types do have limits, and these are listed in Help under SD Cards. Scroll down a bit to Folders and File Types. Trends are listed as a total of 320 .utr spread across subfolders. Generally the rule seems to be for the number in a folder to be 64. Please note other topics in the forum where corruption has occured and limits seem to be able to be exceeded. For what it's worth, I've been trying a quality Toshiba SD in a system that routinely corrupted things, and for a year or so now it has been fine, so I an inclined to believe that "although all cards are created equal, some are better than others!" But it does appear that the PLC only really likes working with 64 in a folder. However, some of my experiences are more than that in sub-folders, but they don't show properly if more than 64. cheers, Aus
  16. Kratmel and Flex questions very pertinent and if none fix, some other points to ponder. So you can't access it at all, even with Visilogic simply using Get OPLC Information in Connection? I'm thus assuming that you have the reinit as part of your coding, initiated by screen, which then resurrects everything? No VFDs or poorly shielded interference going on? Is it only on a LAN, or does it involve use of WAN? And static address there, or dynamic? If the dropout is occuring around certain times I'd check the router settings. I once had a forgotten instruction in a router such that when it did an auto-reboot, it upset comms to only the PLC. Took lots of inspecting settings pages to pick it up, which resulted in much personal grumbling afterwards. 🙂 cheers, Aus
  17. As you can communicate via 232, in theory you can use U90 to try and get the program out of the unit for you to then examine. If successful, I am guessing that one of the inputs is used to monitor whether power of a certain type is on, and this is raising what I think will be a screen that is part of the user program in the unit. As Alex says, not quite enough detail. U90 has lots of help to assist your learning. cheers, Aus
  18. Without the password you are in trouble. However, was the Visilogic programming done using a company computer that still exists? If so, the actual project might still be in the computer, and you will then have a copy. Check the name of the project in the PLC by using Info mode to try and match it up to any remaining projects in the computer. Use the Help file in Visilogic to find out how to access Info mode. But Info mode might also have a non-standard password, it all depends on what the original programmer did. Also check whether there is a project copy on the mini SD card if one is fitted in the PLC.
  19. I've just asked support to get in on this topic as I think it is important. As well, re the above, is this info below the above screenshots relevant? .........To me , it is....... As I don't use Modbus IP at all, my knowledge is limited. But am following this topic with interest. cheers, Aus
  20. Fernando, any chance in your systems of wiring up UniCan? You could possibly get simpler and better performance by using UniCan for simple fast comms b/n all your 570s and 700s, and then localised serial which your slaves may be able to do. cheers, Aus
  21. I also suggest that you take a look at deriving your time by using a 1.25 or 2.5mS Interrupt Routine. Bearing in mind all of Joe's comments, using the Interrupt might give you better accuracy. In some ways it is likely easier to implement, too. Look up Interrupt in the Help index, and then go to Interrupt Routines. You could easily implement both measures concurrently to let the PLC show it's own comparisons over a week or so. I suspect that you will find the Interrupt will be better accuracy, but it would be interesting to know the result. cheers, Aus
  22. Please also note that if you are simply showing a countdown for people to observe, Kratmel's answer is perfect. But if the 130 is actually controlling the fan's run time, the ideal method of doing this is for the timer to be linked to the fan control output with a little ladderwork. Having 2 separate timers running for essentially the same thing will work, but is not ideal in case the fan output is turned off for some reason. In that case the timer will still be implying the fan is running. cheers, Aus
