  1. Dan, I have retrieved a previous version from source control and this is fine. Running as Admin makes no difference to the "broken" project, I get the same error. I can send you the "broken" project and the background image in question if you like but it is too big to post on here. Pete
  2. HI, I'm running Windows 7 as local admin with UAC turned off Pete
  3. HI, now if I attempt to add a new background image I get the attached error. Please help I have spent a lot of time on this. Pete
  4. HI, Since this happened I have had the following error, this occurred when replacing the background image on a display. Pete
  5. HI, Some further information.... I came into work this morning and restarted my PC, the file that was broken yesterday now loads with no problems. The HMI screen I was in the process of deleting has been deleted. Although I am relieved that the file is OK, I'm a bit concerned that this could happen again. I'll be checking the file into source control more often! Pete
  6. Hi, I am using a V1210 with visilogic, I was in the process of deleting an HMI display from the tree on the left of the GUI when the attached error occurred. Visilogic shut down and when restarted is tells me that it did not shut down properly and I can recover the file by clicking OK. If I do this I get the same error but then I need to use task manager to stop the process before I can restart Visilogic again. So it looks like my file is unrecoverable (I am using source control so only a few hours work is lost!) Is there anything you can do / suggest??? I cannot attach the file because it is too big (738K). Thanks Pete
  7. Hi Eyal, I read up a bit prior to installing Visilogic, UAC was turned off before the install two months ago. If you have a way of getting further debug out of the exe I'm happy to help. Pete.
  8. HI, I am working with a V1210 and have 3 very similar displays with a number of images in identical locations on top of the background image. I would really like one display in which I could change the background image dependant on the system configuration. I can't see a way of changing the background image from the ladder code, is this possible?? I have tried using a "List of Images" as a background but I cannot place other variables on top of this so this won't work as a solution. Any ideas?? Thank you. Pete
  9. Hi, I am using a V1210 to develop a pumping control for an industrial application, today I was asked to generate some screen shots and I thought I would use the Online Test remote access feature of Visilogic to do this. Unfortunately, when I click on this I get the attached error (runtime error 3709), after I have acknowledged the error the Visilogic application immediately closes. I have produced the screen shots I need from the HMI designer but I was wondering if you had any idea as to why this error would occur? I am communicating with the controller over Ethernet for programming and debugging purposes, Visilogic version 9.7.9 Build 2, V1210 O/S version 3.9 (06) Thanks in advance. Pete
  10. Hi, I am writing an application for the Vision 1210, I have various images and text displays and I have chosen the background colour of my images to be identical to one of the background colours provided by visilogic. In the attached screen shot the list of texts highlighted and the timer variable to it's right have the same background colour (according to the background selection dialogue) but the backgrounds of each variable are subtly different. This is rather irritating because I can't achieve the look I want ie all controls appear to be transparent. I can't see a transparent flag on these controls so I assumed making the background colours the same would have the same effect. Can you suggest anything to fix this?? Pete.
  11. Hi, I'm sure this is a simple problem... I have a project written for the V1210, I am attempting to debug the ladder and want to step through it once cycle at a time. The manual seems to suggest this is possible but I cannot get this to work. I have placed an "on line point" in the ladder, built and downloaded the code. Then connected using "online Test". Page 213 of the ladder manual says that execution will "freeze" when the scan hits the on line test point, but it doesn't appear to, the program continues normally with timers counting down etc. The on line test point is connected to the power rail so I would expect it to be "On", do you have any suggestions ?? Thanks in advance Pete.
  12. Keith, Thank you very much, that is really helpful. I didn't know about SB3! Where could I find a documented list of the system operands or am I best looking in the operand tab in visilogic?? Once again many thanks. Pete
