  1. @brugola, thanks for the heads up. the missing information is in the Help, and has been updated in the spec, which will be uploaded to the site. Please accept my apologies for the long time lag in attending to this issue, and again, my thanks!
  2. Hi people--two issues here. First: I will add the "The RED solid LED< status to the Help--If @Rivka says it, it is definitely so, she is a true guru πŸ™‚ Second: @Flex727, the info is in the Help, but I need to add a hyperlink so it is easy to find πŸ™‚ @brugola, apologies. I do the Help and will immediately add this information to the next release, and I will notify the Hardware people that they need to add it to the spec.
  3. My two favorite Tech Support weirdies are: Sending 'massages' rather than 'messages, which is a pretty good deal when you think of all the hours we spend hunched over keyboards, and 'Pear to Pear' communications πŸ™‚
  4. Wow--that would be programmed with UPLC, which was an STL-based program that ran in Windows in a DOS window! I joined Unitronics in 1998, and the first documentation job I did was Axis Movement for UPLC... Check out the memory on this baby! Amazing--some of these dinosaurs are actually still up and running
  5. Sometimes? That's GAP!!! I'm the wife in that configuration. If I am not around to locate whatever he's looking for...well, that's why we have about 800 putty knives lurking in the dark corners of this joint...
  6. Hi πŸ™‚ The downloadable Version Changes is taken from the What's New in the Help. The Version Changes open with the current version at the top; the version previous follows that on the next page. Below is a screenshot from the Help showing changes in the current version; if you download the version changes, you can see that the previous version supports multi-axes EtherCAT motion, EV Charger (OCPP) support, and more. Please let me know if this helps - I may have misunderstood your question.
  7. Hi @Fabios! I have asked the team to fix the comment in that example program, including removing the word 'server' and replace it with 'client'. Thank you so much for pointing that out, and I apologize if this error caused problems! Ciao πŸ™‚
  8. @JOTA, I am sorry that you ran into this issue. You are correct--it is not a bug, it is just the way it works...however, that was certainly not intuitive, and I am glad you found the correct solution. I have clarified the Help which will be released with the next version. The topic now includes a better explanation and an example - this will help future users πŸ™‚
  9. Hi! @FelipeI submitted your requests to the team. I think that some are not possible...but, our team is very inventive πŸ™‚ Thanks for submitting - many features have been added to our products in response to user requests!
  10. @Flex727 --please try the 8.3 convention and let me know what happens πŸ™‚
  11. There is a Help topic explaining the difference πŸ™‚ And unfortunately...no army of tech writers... I do try to fix issues called to my attention. > I don't need the element to be linked to anything but apparently you can't define an ASCII string element unless a Link is specified (the 'OK' button is greyed out if none is specified). I simply chose the bit which is set to indicate that this particular screen is being displayed thinking that it would always be '1' whilst displaying this screen and that all would be well. If it is changed to an unused bit variable the flicker goes away. This seems like a pretty obscure nugget of information so I hope that some other frustrated person who is plagued by a stubborn flicker might benefit from this.< I have put this on my to-do list - I will try to clarify the topic for the next version πŸ™‚
  12. Hi! Can you please clarify: you wrote: > however, it takes about 600 ms for it to respond to any touch inputs. < Does the touch on the VNC client check when Output on the PLC is active?
  13. Cobber, those gremlins love you!!! I believe they've selected you as their mascot!
  14. This is an excellent thread--great suggestions. Vision has been taken as far as it can go, and people really do manage to create fabulous displays. UniStream HMI design is more advanced. I have probably watched the entire original series several times--the last time being with my family during the first lockdown, when we really did not want to be on Planet Earth!
  15. Forwarding this one πŸ˜„to my tech writer's group!
  16. No, not run automatically--according to the developers, this was provided for huge, huge projects that have been heavily edited--really rare--not something that needs to be run on the overwhelming majority of projects.
  17. Hey--remember STL? Does anyone born after {fill-in-date} know that there is STL? πŸ€ͺ So--hot off the presses from the development team: Open New project Set PU values: Add some Ladder Logic: Right Click on "!Main Routine" and select "STL View" Reading the above is the best answer
