Digital I/O are updated every scan, and I/O on the main board can be updated faster using Interrupt Routines (again, read the Help here).
I suggest you start with the Help topic Program Sequencing. It is a good starting point

Thanks--glad to hear you solved it

Oh.. Cara... be careful what you post about your past on the forum. This just screams for one of my photo-shopping projects .

Thanks--checking into it

Dairy maid! Not the Dairy Queen!?

I would go Nema4X or IP equivalent on everything. The fumes from the cows can get
very corrosive to electronics.
Good suggestion. As a former dairymaid, I can attest to the generally corrosive elements of cow fumes

Hi Petros,
Is this during the update process, or are you getteing an error when you open the Help?
Please either post or send me a screen capture (cara.levy@unitronics.com) showing me the error; then I will look into it.

Cool :-)
I must admit that although it was in the system operand list, it wasn't in the Alarm topic--it is now!

Hi Damian,
I hear you about the size. The issue has been raised, and I will raise it again.
In the meantime, we have added this SB, and I hope it is of use:
SB 249: Black Background.
Applicable when a system screen such as Alarm or Info does not stretch across the entire screen.
Set /Reset By user application
Takes effect when screen is refreshed.

Thanks--I've sent the request to the relevant people

Damian, maybe my brain is a bit clouded from weekend festivities...but I don't know what you mean exactly.
Could you explain a bit further?

Hi guys:)
I'm having this looked into--thanks for reporting it!

These two strings walk into a bar and sit down. The bartender says, "So what'll it be?"
The first string says, "I think I'll have a beer quag fulk boorg jdk^CjfdLk jk3s d#f67howe%^U r89nvy~~owmc63^Dz x.xvcu"
"Please excuse my friend," the second string says, "He isn't null-terminated."

and a little food for thought...
If you give someone a program, you will frustrate them for a day; if you teach them how to program, you will frustrate them for a lifetime.<LI>Programmers are tools for converting caffeine into code.

Just trying to help out my friends, Simon, just trying to help... dangerous times we live in...

(Drat! we've been foiled again!!!)
Um...um....ok, right--it's the work of the Replicants, the Replicants...and there is only one way to protect yourself from this evil!
Get a load of heavy-duty Diamond foil--no subsitutes, Reynold's Wrap won't cut it--TRIPLE-LINE your hats. Then, wall-paper all the rooms of your house--and doing the inside of your car is a good idea as well.
Get cracking, people!!!

Ok. in V1210, the default view is already 'zoomed'
Since there are three of you with the same issue, I'll submit a request--don't know how long this might take....

Looking into this--will report back

Looking into this, guys--will report back.

Hey Damian:)
In the next version, there will be a warning for each element thus affected --HTH (not now, of course, but *next* time)
-
Thanks for taking the time to list these issues.
They will be submitted to the relevant people.

Simon! Cobber, I'm pleased to see you haven't fallen of the bottom of the earth, over there in upside-down Oz:P

Hi Dave,
I'm Cara, your friendly neighborhood technical writer
I give context-sensitive Help where I can. VisiLogic was one of the very first Windows-based PLC-HMI programming packages.
Unfortunately, that means that it has some limitations.
Some of our dialog boxes, for example, COM Init, are designed so that I can add a Help button; and if you are actively editing COM Init, pressing F1 will open the Help file to that topic. However, the UniCAN Send function uses what our developers call a 'generic form'. I cannot add context-sensitive Help to these. In cases where there many requests, sometimes the developers will re-engineer a function to allow it.
That said--if you look for information and don't find it, please do contact me, either via the forum or support@unitronics.com. Sometimes, the information exists but I haven't anticipated how a user might look for it. In such cases, it takes me a few minutes to add Search terms, or create hyperlinks. If the information doesn't exist...I have work to do.
Simon, who originally answered your query, has given me a lot of work over the years.

Hi!
We were wondering what trade journals our customers read. Do you subscribe, get a print edition, read e-journals only?
Please take a minute to let us know!

Hello Toddster!
This is Cara, Unitronics technical writer.
I am glad to see that you are using the Help file
Thanks--you are entirely correct, and I have corrected the image.
You will see it updated in the Help file of our next release. Please feel free to contact me in the future if you find errors in the Help.

Hi guys..sorry that this was not promptly answered.
The VisiLogic navigation screen does one thing that Windows Vista does not...shows .emf files.
We are fixing the ability to view the Windows Navigation screen.
