Just for fun, this is the control panel for a new force tester we created. If you are a Star Trek fan. I can't be the only nerd on this forum, am I?
You are NOT--but I had to look up LCARS. I never made it to the Next Generation!

Wow-- @kpark, apologies. We are in the fall holiday cycle here, complete with a weekend bridge...I haven't been in the office since Wednesday...
Please note that in addition to what @Ausman suggested (thanks Aus!), note that you can always:- write to support@unitronics
- look in the Knowledgebase and open a support ticket at :https://support.unitronics.com/index.php
We are headquartered in Israel, but we also have offices and a support staff in the US; since support staff is located in countries with different time zones and different holiday calendars we do cover most days of the year.
The answer to your question is in the VisiLogic Help file - simply search for Asian, or CJK. I hope you already resolved your issue--again, apologies!

I thank the Unitronics team for making me the part of the beta project.
And that looks like an excellent project!
Would you consider doing an application story? pleeeze- 1

I really need to check in here on a more regular basis! LOL!!!

@chrishavenga, I checked up--your request is in the to-do list, but has not yet been scheduled.
Thanks for submitting it -

Alt+Space then "M" then use your arrow keys to move the window. It's like magic when that little bugger starts marching over from a display that no longer exists. You can try these out even if you do have multi-monitors connected. Goes back to Win 95.
Wow. WOW!!!
I didn't know this one - thanks!!! -
I have to admit I have never pulled cable.
However, similar laws apparently govern fishing line :-) -

I have used the message box function to confirm/cancel a button action and this works well.
I think that a useful feature would be the ability to trigger a similar looking pop-up message box to be displayed on the current HMI screen from the PLC ladder code in order to ask an operator to confirm/cancel an action or answer a yes/no question thereby setting bits for the ladder code to act on as part of the machine control process sequence.
Hi!
We have added your request to the list.
For now, we suggest that you can prepare "your own message box" using Custom controls, or a rectangle with a text and 2 buttons; then assign a visibility bit to these elements and when you wish to pop up the message, you can set the visibility bit on. -

I know it's a bit late now, but a thing to remember for the future is the use of Revo Uninstaller. It often solves incomplete uninstall problems. I always use the portable type, free/$ versions available here:

cheers, Aus
I'm going to check this out--thanks!

Hey Joe! Will check and get back to you--thanks!

Interesting comments, thanks.
Among my other textual duties, here in UniLand, I write most of the marketing content.
After seeing HMI controller, I thought that might be how someone looking for a PLC + HMI might search for such a device.... -
Hello from Unitronics headquarters
Many of you probably know that Unitronics invented the OPLC: the Operating Panel + Programmable Logic Controller - which today, we call the PLC + HMI, or All-in-One controller.
Recently, I've noticed that there seems to be a shift in terminology--the HMI controller. Is this, in your experience, the more common term in use today?

Not sure this is the proper location for my question, but will there be a .NET driver or communications protocol for the UniStream as there is for the Vision?
I've used literally dozens of Vision PLC's simply because I can tie together PLC operations and production control operations with several other peripheral devices (bar code scanners, RFID readers, measurement gauges, keyboard wedge devices, etc.) into a single PC based application, then integrate it into my customer's production systems or warehouse systems (SAP, SAGE, MFG Pro, and custom SQL databases). I've hesitated migrating to the Unistream models because I haven't seen a method as clean as the Vision .NET driver to read and write to specific memory locations in the PLC.
Thanks,
-Chris
Sorry--I missed this when it was posted--apologies!
I've submitted your question to the team, and I will update you when I receive a reply -

I have a mqtt project with 40 identical machines all using the exact same application program. I am currently using Get and Set topic to add machine identifier for each plc. What would be a great feature is to have a tickbox to automatically add the unit id to the topic instead of doing Get and set in ladder. It would also save alot of work if the publish and subscribe lists could be exported and imported to a csv.
Hello there
I just submitted your requests to the team leaders--I will let you k now what they reply.- 1

In case you all haven't noticed, the download site has been changed recently. So thanks @Cara Bereck Levy, for persuading the powers that be. I'd still be not showing the beta at all, as it seems that Youngies ALWAYS have to have the latest and greatest! But this is much better than the previous situation.
Took a little time--but yes

Heh. The designer who made it is looong gone. I'll see if I can jog the memories of people who have been here longer than my 21 years...

I ran into a bug that was a show stopper a few years back. Here’s the good news: a fix was released. It took a few weeks, keep in mind (someone correct me if I’m wrong) software fixes come out of Isreal. If anyone gets a fix released in less than a week please let me know how it was done.
heh--@hotwires, I remember that!
And you're right. R&D is in Israel, my buddies here stomp bugs!
Generally, bug fixes are released along with versions. Service packs are usually to address Windoze versions--they change stuff, we have to update to support it, and we include any fixes that we have made along the way. as far as the timeline--less than a week isn't gonna happen. -

I totally agree with Ausman and NEVER upgrade the firmware of a working system. However, it's not likely to hose things, but my motto is the same as the engineer's creed: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
Why I disable automatic updates to Windoze...

@Joe Tauser, did you get that from my video file or from your own TV?
I thought the camera lingered a bit on the V570 and gave a momentary thought that this might be "product placement", but I seriously doubt it.
Nah.
But very cool--thanks for reporting it!
This happens every so often. Now I'm thinking of doing a blog post called Accidental Sightings, or Unitronics in the Wild :-)
