    Some tips:

    1) You must start to use UMI via blank project and configure 1 VFD.

    2) Configured Umi can be controled via simple UMI command (from UMI menu) and by changing speed and torqe variables defined in configuration.

    3) Is it dip sw on RS485 comm card in correct = RS485 + termination?

    4) Is it cable from UMI to RS485 card connected properly?

P.S.  I do not find any UMI inverters on din rail in Visilogic HW config of your project.

ADD UMI to project = add some hidden subroutine that is not visible for user.

You must try start to use UMI via project from example for configure 1 VFD.

    Greeatings , i dont use umi , i Have 3 vfds , and samba can only with 2 ,

    Dip switch are 1 2 3 4 are on and the 5 6 OFF

I get cable form unitronics two wire one blue and it is on pin 1 and bluewhite it is pin 6 ,

    1 pin +Rs485 on VFD

    6pin -RS485 on VFD

    have you any other solution

    Hi toreros,

First of all, have you already established a connexion between your PLC and the drive ?

To manipulate your drive parameters, you need to communicate with SDO or PDO functions within Visilogic.

    Cheers,

    Sideway.

Greeatings , this is problem can you tell me hovv , vvhich register i must read from servo ,for example if I need postion value on servo ??

    Hi;

Have you tried :      Connection -- Communication-PC Settings

                                                    6th Tab -  System Mode  -- Get  ?

if it responds, then switch to Factory Boot and then try the OS Download again

Also - V570's like to communicate at  115,200 Baud

    Dan

Greeatings I have vision V280 and I have problem.

I do upload program and povver supply in this moment going off , in the middle , vvhen i povver on my vision i havnt anythin on screen , have you some solution ?

This post was started for a V120, which has limited features.  What family of PLC are you working with?

    Joe T.

I vvork vvith vision 1210 , and I have expansion module like iodi16-to16.
On input I52 I 53 I have high speed input. on this input i vvire one pnp or npn sensor ,I have disk vvith 12 pulses per revolution ,
I need to calculate rpm and this information is feedback for PID.

The easiest way is to set in Hardware configuration I0 as high Speed counter. In the second line, you can define operand (MI) for frequency measurement. See relevant help topic for details.

In selected MI you will receive the number of pulses per second - Hz. Then, you need to multiply the this result by 60 to receive the number of pulses per minute. Then, you need to divide this result by the number of pulses your plate gives per revoluiton. The final reult will be in RPM (Revolutions per minute).

What is the expected range of results?

How many pulses gives your disk per revolution?

    What is the presision needed?

Just note - Enhanced Vision models (for example V130) support special function Frequency measurements. It gives the frequency with resolution and precision of 0.01Hz.

greeatings . have you some examples , i need to measuring rpm its for me feedback for pid.

First, post the model and make of your SSR so we can truly know what you are using.  Most SSRs use a DC trigger signal of 3-30 VDC, which is why others keep recommending a transistor output to drive them.

This is not totally necessary, it just works better.  You can certainly drive a typical SSR by switching a 24 VDC signal through a relay; you just have to slow it down with a longer cycle time on the PWM block.  Did you read my above post?

    Joe T.

    Greeatings .

I use Fotek SSR-40 DA this relay have input 3-30VDC , i read all your post and i vvill try vvith pvvm like you say

  7. Greeatings i have problem with read data on xdate.

I connect my V700 to xdata but i cant reed my table .

In attach you can see photo of xdata.

In examples i finde xdata example for v570 i try same code but some register I cant use on V700.

Have someone expirience with this .

Are you using the same computer for both VisiLogic and Remote Operator? If so, they would be using the exact same pathway and if one works, the other should too, but they both can't connect to the same port at the same time.

If not, then make sure the Remote Operator computer (or phone) is on the same subnet as the PLC. What I find is that my router hands out addresses to wired and wireless (wi-fi) with different subnets.

I have a new problem, I tried with another laptop, to try the remote operator, however the same problem is just that now I can't even load the program over Ethernet. I try with static ip but same problem , i try to change ip but same
