This is interesting.  On my system under C:\Windows\SysWOW64 I have both Actbar2.ocx and Actbar3.ocx.

I have no idea why those files aren't there from the Visilogic installation but here you go.

    Joe T.

    Actbar2.ocx 814.58 kB · 3 downloads Actbar3.ocx 926.81 kB · 0 downloads

Nice work mate - this has resolved the issue.

    Cheers,

    Sam

    Dear Ausman,

thanks a lot,  I've tried your method with partial success. Also it's too complicated, I mean too error prone for an old guy like me...

One new moment concerning W10 and Version Swapper:

After fresh W10 installation I've had the same issue as described above, Run-time error 339, amiTapi .ocx components not registered/missing. I tried to locate the file amiTapi.ocx on my computer without success. But on the other laptop I've found it, made a copy to the USB flash and transfered it to c:\windows\system32   folder. Note 32-bit W10 version, otherwise on a 64-bit version it should be copied on a C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder.  After that I found regsvr32.exe in the same folder. Then I started command prompt (cmd.exe) as an administrator, and typed:

    cd c:\windows\system32\

    regsvr32  amiTapi.ocx /s

This was actually the registration of a copied file.

Then I tried to register Visilogic Swapper version with Version Swapper , and get the same message but this time Actbar2.ocx was the problem. I repeated the procedure, exactly the same as for amiTapi.ocx file, and now I have no problem with Version Swapper, it normally works with all Swapper Visislogic versions, downloaded from Unitronics site.

Once again, for W10 64-bit version users, just instead of C:\Windows\system32 folder use C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder. And thats it. The onlz problem is that one can not be able to find the missing files. They are extremely vulnerable and should be used only if they originate from original Windows installation (usually Resource folder).

Digging this one up from the grave;  Could you tell me where you found the Actbar2.ocx file in the first place?  I've got the amitapi.oxc issue sorted (unitronics offer the file under help portal) but now I have the same problem you had but no Actbar2.ocx file to register...

  3. Hello team,

Does anyone know if it's possible to use an older hardware/firmware version with the latest IO modules for the URB-TCP range?   If possible I presume this would require a firmware update but I couldn't find anything in the URB-TCP manual relating to this.

I have a F/W REV 1.005 and H/W REV 1.00 I would like to make use of with the latest IO modules.

If you do a reset on the totaliser, what happens with the number?  To me the manufacturer's pdf you gave is a bit ambiguous in how to read things.   Readings following a reset might help to clear things up.

    cheers, Aus

Thanks for the input Ausman, here is an extract from the manual around simulation function.  Basically every start of simulation will reset the totaliser and it will count as per the simulated flow.  This video is just after a simulation reset and you can see the number has reduced from the original post, running for about a minute prior.

What I should have been more specific about in my original post is that is does not increment in any sort of order,  If you view the attached video you can see what the increments look like.   FYI simulated flow set for 60LPM which you can see under MI1030 *0.1.

  5. Hi all,

I have an IFM flow meter operating over IO LINK.   I need to get all 3 sources of data (flow, temp and totalizer), I have flow and temp ok but the totalizer value is a float32T and although I believe I am receiving the data ok with a RFR block into a double word I can't make any sense of the value I'm receiving.. do I need to potentially flip the vector?

The value I'm receiving is increasing incrementally under flow meter simulation so it appears to be the correct data.

    Thanks in advance,

    Sam.

  6. I also experienced this issue with a much old V1210 unit (the grey face style), I didn't follow it up as I had some other units laying around which the SN worked on..  I think it's just a case of they may not have the much older units serial numbers in the register and sounds like it's a simple case of supply them the SN to be added.

  7. Thanks for the feed back guys!

Ausman, yes it's a great feature and would be really nice for something like a remote installation but in this instance I don't believe it's very  practical with the large data requirements of this business plus 4G static IP addresses are becoming increasingly difficult these days with Telstra no longer issuing them and the specialist ISP that do provide them are very expensive on the data front.

Joe, this is exactly how I imagined it would work and fills me with much confidence! looking forward to giving this product a run.

  8. Hello all,

    Currently designing a new machine and I would like to use the cloud/iot services provided by unitronics.  I notice all of the controllers with built in cloud are the unistream range,  ideally I would like to stick with visilogic software and say a V1210 controller.  Now,  I see this is possible by using the Unitronics router but my internet searches are not bringing up any concrete information on how this works so hoping to get some assistance with the following questions;

    -  Current setup has an existing router that controls the networks DHCP, it also has port forwarding for multiple unitronics controllers to enable remote access & remote operator, this router cannot be changed as it is ISP specific.  So my question is, can the vision with unitronics router work in this situation?  can the unitronics router sit as a device on an existing network?

    - How does the data get transferred to the cloud service via the router from the vision controller?  Is it a data export table or similar?

    Thanks in advice.

  9. Gents,

I really appreciate all of the assistance here.  After reading your replies I'm now  almost positive my issue is around the socket - I was under the impression I had to use the same socket (3) and that it was a physical address (socket on the v1210) rather than a software address which I  now understand.  I'll also take your advice and tidy up the sequencing of everything.

I shall report back early next week - hopefully with a good result.

    Many thanks!

  10. Gents,

Still having issues with this TCP connection.  Ausman I took your advice and removed all of the code besides the TCP connect & I cannot get a connection (see photos)

I can ping both the CPU and URB-TCP no problem so I feel like it's something silly like a local port wrong?

I know socket 3 functions ok because I can ping it & utilise remote operator on another port, what I'm unsure about is if it's working ok on port 502 & is my URB-TCP module definitely configured for local port #502?  I can't see anywhere that can be changed in the URB configuration?

SB142 & 150 are showing an unhealthy condition?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Many thanks!!

  11. Hi all,

Hoping for some assistance here.  I have a new remote IO unit that I'm trying to bring online.  The issues I'm having appear to be with the TCP connection, I've attached a sample program of my main routine and modbus.  I have green/red flashing light on mod, green on link & solid red on IOS, on first startup I get a few flashes on active.

    Things to note;

    - I have remote access setup on the same socket & it still functions ok - I have tried removing that port init with no luck.

    - I can ping both the CPU & URB IO controller from my PC so no issue with actual network connectivity.

    - I haven't looked  too much into the modbus code because the Socket is not healthy & that is holding those rungs out anyway.

    - When I don't have a program attempting to make a TCP connection I have A green light on IOS,LINK & MOD

    - I have verified the project with URB configuration & also attached that file.FORUPLOAD.vlp

Here are some pictures of what I am experiencing when I'm online.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Sam

  12. Hi all,

I currently have 2x projects that require sms notification, one is a v1210 controller and the other a Samba.  My issues is the unitronics Australian distributor can only supply a 3G modem but that network will be phased out soon so I would like to future proof the installs.  Can anyone assist with a known unitronics compatible 4G GSM modem?

    I was looking at the below;

    https://www.iot-store.com.au/products/industrial-4g-lte-modem-router-serial-to-cellular-modem-usr-g781?variant=47667023891&currency=AUD&utm_campaign=gs-2018-09-30&utm_source=google&utm_medium=smart_campaign&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIyuOT-rPo5gIVTx0rCh2XIQvpEAYYASABEgLJAfD_BwE

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,

  13. Hi all,

Does anyone have a tried/proven method that can create a VPN link to a remote station with a private (mobile 4g) IP address?  I am trying to scope a job and investigate if this would be a financially viable solution over SMS notifications.

So I'm looking for advice on free VPN solutions and what hardware would support that.  Controller is a Samba with ethernet module.

    Many thanks,

    Sam
