  1. The Database that my customer is using is Microsoft SQL thats hosted in AWS. It can be accessed on network and can be made publicly accessible as well as through public IP. Thanks
  2. Looking for some help and advice. My company currently builds and sells packaging machines. The machines bag Garments on Hangers. Basically it is a machine that puts the plastic bag on Garments on coat hangers, like when you pick your Dry Cleaning from the Cleaners. We use a Vision V570 Plc and I use a 3rd party for the programming. Many of my current customers have there rental linens RFID Tagged and a Database containing the information for the linen. What we are wanting to do is add an RFID Reader on the machine and while the Poly is being pulled over the linen read the RFID Tag and access the customers data base and receive the size of the linen from the Database. After the Bagging Cycle is complete and the linen exits the machine and makes an existing Proximity switch we want to send the data from the database to a Zebra printer/applicator from Weber Packaging Solutions. Then the linen will slide down to another stop station and when a second proximity switch is made we want to apply the label.. The labeler applicator will be communicating to the Packaging Machine in order to pause the Machine in case of Printer Errors.. My issue is I have no idea where to start. I do not know how to make a Prox switch trigger the data to be sent to the printer. Can anyone please tell me what would be the simplest way to do this... I would like to design a system that could integrate into all customers databases regardless of there software. I am thinking about using a file exchange program where there data is sent to a shared folder and we just take the data from this shared folder. Then if the customer wants data back showing Status of Labeled Linens we have a folder we send the out data to and they get the out file from this folder... Not sure if any of this is possible or how to go about it.... Open for any and all ideas.. If anyone would like to assist on this project we would be willing to compensate you for your time... Thanks Chris 4300_Swing_Tamp.m4v
  3. I have a V 570 that someone hit with a hard object and broke the touch screen. It has cracks in the glass like when you drop a cellphone on the ground. Is there anyway to replace the screen on a Vision Controller? Thanks Chris
  4. I found the problem... It was a jumper that was added to the panel for a test. This was causing a feedback!!!
  5. I have a V570 OPLC controlling a packaging machine. This is my 3rd machine running the 570. I have not had this problem on any of the other machines running the same program. This is a brand new PLC. As part of the safety circuit when the safety circuit is activated "Estop button pressed" I deactivae the 24 Volts to the Output Module. This way it is impossible for a output to be active with Estop active. On this PLC I have the 24 Volt wire disconnected but I am still getting 24 Volts coming out of 2 of the outputs. The only way to deactivate the outputs is to disconnect the -24 Volt from the output card. I know that on the last 2 machines that when the +24 was disconnected that the outputs would no longer function. Could this possibly be a faulty OPLC? I tried running the ground straight to the -24 and this made no difference. I also checked all connections and everything was correct. Please Help!!!
  6. Thanks Guys!! One question How do these values get changed in a machine that has been running for 6 months? Also is there anway I can lock them where they will not get changed. Thanks Chris
  7. Looking for a little help on a Vision 570-57-T20B and a snap V200 18E62B.. I have this setup running a packaging machine. I did not do the programming of the unit. I am also not a programmer. Here is the problem that I am having and hope someone can give me a little assistance. I am using the PWM output to control a Solid State Relay. I am sending pulses to the relay to control heat on a resistance Wire to seal poly bags. The PLC has no input to turn the PWM output on. It comes on when the machine is powered up. The program was written and machine installed and has been running since October 2012. Now it seems that the PLC is not sending any pulses out from one of the PWM outputs. The other one is working correctly. I have confirmed that the wiring from the Plc to the SSR is correct. So it is like the PWM output isn't sending any pulses. Another strange thing, After the program was written and machine was tested I bought another exact same model Unitronics PLC and downloaded the exact same program into it. This was a different packaging machine but when I turned on the PLC everything in the program except the 2 PWM outputs worked. I went in Visilogic and can turn on the outputs manually and the relay will activate. But when I run the program I get no PWM outputs. This is the same program that has worked since October in the other machine. Can someone please tell me how to look in the program and see the pulses or any other test I can do?? Could it be possible I need relay outputs to control the SSR? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
  8. Just got my first 570 and have it installed waiting on programmer. I have a few questions. What is the best way to trouble shoot the wiring of the inputs and outputs since there are no indicator lights on the Snap Module? Also I can get to the Info Mode screen but it ask for a password, I have looked everywhere but cant find a password anybody know what it is? Thanks Chris
