Hi, In my program PID auto tune is not functioning. Overshoot came across when I tried it. After that I entered values manually in the PID loop.In that also little bit of overshoot could observed. May I get some help from to solve the PID issue.

Hi All, I'm storing data in a Data Table. Once a day I write the data to a file using the "Store DTI to File" instruction. It all works well and a file is created. I'm then using Excel VBA to read the data in one line at a time. The issue I am having is that the CSV file has comma "," separating the lines. How do I get the Unitronics software to install a line break after each row from the data table?

Hi guys. I try use local integer variable in UDFB with inc block, but not work. I know not possible monitoring a value on line, but i connect in function out in the block and not change values outside . The inc function not work in blocks with local variables? Regards

Hello, I am a new programmer in Unilogics. After I got to know Unilogics , I have to set up an TCP/IP connection. The PLC is the server. I already programmed a function for sending information to the Hercules ( on my laptop). Now I need to receive information back from my Hercules. I have tried a lot of options but it will not work. The Rx blocks count the right amount of byte's that is received. The problem lays ( I think) in the fact that OUT E from the Rx box doesn't go to 1. Also I dont get BOX E from de parse message box. If i made a scanned message for receiving it isn't standing there. I find it very strange that i find it so easily to send info but then it wont work to receive info. thank you for the help in advance NOTE: " BUFFER ONTVANGEN MEANS BUFFER RECEIVED" im dutch haha

Dear Sir, Please help on following DTI usage. I am using EXCEL sheet as attached for showing volume of tank. We have 2 conditions. 1. NEGATIVE TRIM 2. POSITIVE TRIM. trim is calculated by our sensor. The height of the liquid is also calculated by pressure sensor. From the liquid height according to positive or negative trim, select the volume from the cell. This value want show in a numeric box. For example, I know my tank list is positive and sounding is 0.25 and trim of 1.5, as per excel sheet my volume will be 5.12 Metric cube. Want to pick this 5.12 value and show in numeric box. if in negative trim, at 0.25 depth and negative trim of 1 my volume will be -0.67 metric cube. From excel sheet how I can select using DTI I marked it red for ease of reading. Can you help on this please. I have limited access to internet. cannot search and study the examples. Dear sir/Madam, I done small projects with UniStream. I got one large project. Can i have some help to carry out this project. I am not so professional oly a small scale programmer. I'm attaching one of screen shots of an existing project. we are planning to upgrade this with Unistream PLC. In the photo red color valves, when we touch on particular valve a pop up screen should come with showing two buttons OPEN CLOSE. like at right side upper corner of the screen. can we do this by designing single screen and when touch the valve the screen will pop for with that particular valve number. or we have to make pop screen for each valve. like this there are 3 screens with same number of valves. I did not buy the HMI UNIT and CPU to try. Please help.

Hi! I'm programming an UniStream Modular USP-070-B08 + CPU USC-P-B10 with UniLogic v1.25.61. I want to create an array of INT16, which its length, will be set by the user through the HMI. Is it possible? Because when I create the array in Ladder, I can only set a constant value for the array's length. I want to try something similar with the number of rows for a table. Thanks in advance!

I need to calculate the difference between the current tag value and its value during the previous scan. The tag value originates from a Formula using analogue data from a UIA-0402N Analog input and stores a Real value. Is there a easy way to do this without using a Data Table or other FB that uses the SD card memory?

I would like to clear all the data in a certain struct. I thought I was able to do that using the Reset Numeric function. I entered the name of the struct in the function box tag and then erased the period. For some reason, however, the data is not being cleared in the struct. Am I wrong in how I set this up, or am I overlooking something?

I have a DTI in which I want to search a column for a string with a specific prefix. The column contains strings of 25 characters each with a unique 3 letter prefix. How can I perform a search returning a match for a given prefix? In other words, I want to return the string with prefix "ABC". Thanks in advance!

HI everyone. I have a Unitronics PLC with HMI USP-104-B10 I have a Flow meter connected to one of the Analog input cards and it sends out a flow rate, I want to calculate the total flow in cubic meters and display it on the HMI, I also want another display with Weekly Flow ( so it uses the same logic and calculations of the total flow but should reset every time the operator pushes a reset button after he takes his readings). Both The Calculations are the Exact same logic the difference is they are assigned to different tags. But the readings are completely different and random.

Dear All, I am having a strange issue...I try to explain, I am checking the serial communication between a master and a slave (modbus rtu...like a sniffer) and I am using the Unistream to catch the exchanged data...at the beginning, as first test, I record every 10 bytes and save the buffer in a DTI...and all has works fine...now I want to take the exact request/answer between master and slave....then the first record is checking the 8 bytes...the data will be, for example, 1-3-0-216-0-3-134-56 (the CRC is not calculated...I wrote only as example)...then I want check the position 5 in the buffer (3) to know how many bytes will be the answer...in this case will be (3 *2)+2 =11 bytes...I am using the function block buffer to tag to store the buffer[5] and do the calculation...I tried to save the specific buffer position to a single tag and all the buffer in an array...both UINT8 and UINT16 but...but this never works....in the position C of the function block is wrote that if the end tag has not enough space the function will not execute...but I don't think that is the problem...what cna be the cause? What I am wrong?

Hi, I'm using the PLC usp-070 and trying to use data table. I have an SD card in the PLC and: when I use the function "store DTI to file" I get error status '-31' when I use "load DTI from file" i get error status '-4' the SD card is FAT32. I'm new with UniLogic and every help will be appreciated. thanks, Moran

I am working on a project that requires an operator to enter a field (on the HMI Screen) by scanning a bar code. I want to be able to confirm that the scanned field has a specific number of characters. The field is linked to a tag that is an ASCII string. It will be an alphanumeric string 25 characters long, and I want to confirm that the scan in fact inputs all 25 characters. Any thoughts on how to do that would be much appreciated!

Hi, I have a UniStream application where I would like to disable the alarms for ~10 sec or so after a power up. Currently I get nuisance alarms after a power up, since the UniStream application seems to check for alarms before the transmitters have fully powered up. Is there something like a "first scan" bit and a disable alarms bit?

Hello, We have decided to swap our PLCs from Vision (VisiLogic) to UniStream (UniLogic). And so i've stumbled upon a challenge. I want to load a timer which is a timer from the HMI (keypad entry) and store a timer from ladder to HMI. In VisiLogic I were able to load a timer to an memory integer (like shown on the picture). But how am i suppose to do this when I don't have this function available? Regards Sander

Hello, I'm new to Unistream so forgive me if I misunderstood something simple (I use latest UL version and latest firmware on PLC). I wanted to convert number in string and found out that UniLogic doesn't have Num to ascii function. Not happy, but OK, I found UDFB in samples library and set it up according to my needs. Then I encountered problem : I want to set output string to be 4 characters long, show +/- sign and pad zeroes to fit 4-char format ('+007' for example) UDFB works fine until I switch PLC off and then ON again. I noticed that in my ladder progrem UniLogic CHANGES UDFB format (padding) selection from 2 (pad with zeroes) to 1 (pad with spaces) I cant figure out why UniLogic changes UDFB input parameter by itself??? Even stranger is that downloaded program "works" until power off. After power On PLC start to pad "spaces" instead "zeroes" and when I open Unilogic program there is also format in UDFB set back to "1" -pad with spaces. attached pic. UDFB input parameter D should be "#2" for my needs but somehow it comes back to "#1' Thanks for help, Regards, Marko Kocijan

Hello, I'm looking for a solution to run 1 function multiple times at the same time with different values. I've already made a function with local tags, function in tags and function out tags. Inside the function is a small calculation and a short delay, divided in steps. I think the timer is the biggest problem, how can I solve this? How can I make a timer a local tag? Thank you in advance.

Dear colleagues, I've one project where I need to read from TCP/IP port ASCII string from COGNEX Insight 7200 camera data. We are reading standard ASCII characters but also we have CROATIAN characters which are not represented in ASCII (ČĆĐŽŠ). I decided to use UNISTREAM 7" PLC for this purpose but I'm stucked with the way how to do this, I'm new to the UNISTREAM. I red in forum that we can use function COPY BUFFER TO TAG but when I do that I got ��. I can teach COGNEX camera to save font Ž as # for example, so if camera reads PŽ1234, it will send ASCII string P#1234 to PLC. At PLC side I need to convert # to Ž and then compile it to original state PŽ1234 and send it to SERVER. Can anyone help me with this ? Regards, Sasa Jovanic LOGOKOD d.o.o. Croatia

Hi, I have a problem. It's the firt time that I work with Unilogic and I need help. I have to divide two numbers, that gives me a comma value as a result. I do not know how to handle values with commas in Unilogic if I have to set REAL values. On top of that I want to put the result value in a timer. Is it possible with this soft? Thank you!
