Hello, I just got informed about an issue with the program I have made for a Samba SM35 regarding Modbus settings. I use a Com Init block directly after a power-up bit that initializes factory com settings. If I enter Information Mode and change the serial settings for RS485 there, everything is fine until a power loss. The settings are overwritten at power-up. Is there a way to prevent the settings from getting restored to Com init settings after a power-loss or unit shut down? -
Hello! I have a next project where I have to use module EX9024D. For this project I use Unitronics Samba (SM43-J-T20) with v100-17-rs4 module (because this combo is what I have right now). Operation manual for EX9024D: https://www.expertdaq.com/media/downloads/ex-9021_ex-9022_ex-9024.pdf Basically I have to send #023-02.500 command to module (page 20). This command will generate -2.5V to output 3 (total 4 outputs, 0-3). This task is little over my head, especially when it comes to using ModBUS, so I will need help. How do I transmit this kind of command over ModBUS (I believe I also have to transmit character #, not sure tho)? Could anybody please explain and guide me through this? I have also tried to watch provided example files, but this is still too confusing to me. Best regards, Steven -
For RS-485 on the Visilogic V130 units, if the unit is being used by as a slave only, will setting the baud rate to 115,200 allow it to talk to Masters set on a lower baud rate. I cannot find anything in the literature that verifies or contradicts this. -
I need to establish communication betwwen jazz (master) and energy analyzer-klea as slave using RS-485. Model of jazz is JZ10-11-UA24 with MJ20-RS. I need to read float value in klea starting addres 0 (Average voltage of three phases) I am newbie with unitronics and modbus ... Tnx in advance for any help. Hello, I am receiving a 15 byte long hex status message from a device over an RS-485 network and storing the message in an MI vector on a V570. The 5th and 6th bytes of the status message are the High and Low bytes of the value I want to display. the 5th byte stores in one MI and the 6th in the MI after (466 and 467). So if 5 is 04 and 6 is 8B I should get 1163 when converted to DEC. The values are coming in as 0004 and 008B, which if I convert gives me 262,283. My question is how do I combined only the MSB of the two registers to achieve the number I am looking for? I tried mapping register bytes, but apparently this only works when the bytes are in the same register. Thanks to anyone who can help me out with this. Sincerely, Jared -
Hello, We have a problem with Unitronics Jazz 2 series PLCs (JZ20-R31, +adapters MJ20-RS) trying to connect to modbus communication line. The problem is we cant initializate RS-485 com port, every configuration are restored to factory default (9600;7;1;even;n) after RS-485 cable connection to PLC and in system menu it is impossible to change communication parameters if RS-485 cable is connected (RS-232 com port we do not use). We do not have any problems with Jazz 1 series plcs using almost same program, same configuration. + U90 ladder we are using last version (v6.4.9) + Unitronics 2 series OS is last version (V2.30 (B08)) + Communication line is good (we checked). + We have two Jazz 2 series plcs with same problem.
