  1. Hello everyone, I'm currently modifying in an already given visilogic program for my project, and the very 1st blocs in it are the ones shown in the pic attached. I want to ask you if you have any ideas about the functions used, what do they do ? and can you explain to me how these blocs are supposed to work ? Thanks in advance
  2. Hello, Does anyone know of any problems with including both a Modbus Config and a Protocol config for the same COM port in the same program? I'm talking to a peripheral device which under certain circumstances may need to be sent an ASCII Protocol command to switch it to Modbus mode, so I will need to be able to do both types of communication in the same program on the same port. Can the two coexist, or will I need to re-execute the appropriate Config block when switching from one communications mode to the other?
  3. Hello, I am trying to communicate with the Art-Net to DMX interface (from DMX4ALL) via LAN. I have to send a specific message to the interface so it knows what to do. The message is as you can see in the attachment. I can connect to the interface with the "TCP/IP CONNECT" function block, but I cannot communicate with the interface. Can anyone tell me how I can make the message in the "Protocol: TCP/IP Send" function block? Thanks in advance. Edwin ArtDmx.pdf
  4. Hello, I've got a problem with the SEND block of the PROTOCOL FB's, I need to calculate the checksum according to CRC-16 algorithm with initial value 0x0000, but the only available option is CRC-16 (Modbus) where the initial value is 0xFFFF. Is there a way to change the initial value, or add this checksum algorithm? Another problem is the order bytes in the calculated checksum, maybe you could add an option to swap bytes?
  5. People who see the SD Card Explorer in action usually sometimes wish to have the same functionality in their own application. Some of them contact Unitronics in order to get some details on the protocol, or ways that they can do the same, while others fear from the worst: that it's a lot of work.I know very few people that will be happy to write the whole protocol by themselves. The only guy I can think of in that matter is Ash Nielson... I have no idea where he gets his strength and energy from, but the solution for this problem is actually simpler than you think. You don't have to be energetic
