  1. Im working on a system which uses the US7-B5-TA30 all in one HMI. My program is mostly developed and I am working on adding user account management functionality. Given that a lot of our customers use the machines in a large corporation, many ask for the ability to manage users remotely and push accounts over the network. I haven’t yet found a way to import (pull) user accounts over the network. Is there a way that this can be done? I assume that maybe something like this can be done over VNC (haven’t yet looked into it in detail) but I feel like many customers are looking for the ability to tie in a user management domain that updates account credentials without having to log into an additional device. Does anyone have any suggestions or tutorials that you could point me towards?
  2. I am working on creating a program that would allow for saving of system logs and data, basically just sensor values and button strokes recorded to a data table, and I need to ensure that data was not manipulated after it was written. I like the fact that files can be digitally signed via the store DTI to file function. From an end-user perspective, I dont like that I need to direct my customers to use the programming tool to verify a digital signature.Maybe I am simply not aware of it or is there a standalone tool that a cutomer can use to verify whether a file was altered after being digitally signed? Im basically looking for the Digital Signature Verifier as a standalone tool. I this proprietary to unitronics or is there some industry standard tool that can be used instead? Building on this, is there functionality to save a data table to say a signed PDF document or other format than what is listed in the Store DTI to File function? What about adding password protection or encryption to files? I currently dont have a good way of protecting accessibility of data once it is off of the PLC, adding password protection is not the best solution but it will add another layer of security. Ideally, if the files were read-only, this would solve a lot of the issues. Is there maybe a way to do this?
  3. Hi all, I have built out a program for a machine that is operated locally by the customer but has the ability to connect to the network over the panel ethernet. Currently the panel ethernet is used mainly for porting data and machine logs from the PLC to a customer hosted server (some customers have a locally hosted FTP that they can connect to). I am programming a US7-B5-TA30. The customer would like to have the ability to choose (on the HMI) between an FTP server hosted on the PLC and an FTP client where it is hosted on the customer side. My thought was to create both instances on the PLC and have the customer simply choose which to use. I think this will work for the case where it is a set and forget situation. Of coure, the customer would like to change the password on a regular basis and it is possible that the IP address / port might change as well. I see that there is a way to change the panel IP settings via a numeric elements box which I can drag onto a screen (or allow the customer to use Uni-Apps to make this change with adequate credentials). What I don’t see, is a way to change the passwords for the FTP server. Same for the FTP client, I don’t see a way that I could manage user names and other settings. There is a Password Box but I cant link it to say the FTP server/ client. Is there some other way to do this, is it possible at all? As an alternative, the customer would be OK with pushing these changes remotely but again, I don’t know how to set this up. Does anyone have experience with this or have an idea how to implement something like this?
  4. Hi guys.Tips to reduce cpu usage by HMIs and ladder functions in Unilogic (USP-104-B10)? I would appreciate it.
  5. Hello, I have several US5 models out in the field which I often check on using VNC to interact with their HMIs. I recently updated UniLogic to version 1.34.192 and then updated the firmware on one of the US5s to match, and then reloaded the updated project. However, now it seems like VNC only works to view the HMI but I can no longer interact with it. I've tried both RealVNC and TightVNC, I've rebooted the PLC and re-downloaded the project several times, I've tried adding and removing a VNC password but it still ignores all of my clicks. The other units that haven't been updated yet still work normally. Has anyone else experienced this or do you have any suggestions? Thanks.
  6. Hi all, This is an open invitation for you to suggest new ideas and thoughts for Unilogic UDFB's. It is very important for us to keep track of our customers needs. As part of this agenda we want to create and develop useful tools for your benefit. These UDFB's will be attached to the next releases of Unilogic. Please feel free to suggest any idea that seems useful. Thank you

  8. I noticed I am getting an error after every download in UniLogic v1.33.348 which looks like this: The program downloads to the target and goes online after hitting ok. This seems more like a nuisance than a critical issue at the moment, is there anything I can do to fix this?
  9. Hello everyone, I was trying to create PID bloc, but when i use it 2 times, it doesn't work with both values, it take only one value like i can use it one timeb but not 2times in paralleles. Anyone has an idea of how I can make it work?
  10. Hello everyone, is there a way when i call an ancient trend (from histroy) to show all the time of the trend? Like if i have a graph for 24H, and i call it from history I see all the 24h without moving the cursor? And is there a way to change X axis time frame to make it variable?
  11. Hello Everyone, Can anyone tell me how is the functions compare strings is working? Thank you,
  12. Hello everyone, I was wondering if there is a function or a way to list all the CSV files in get all the names in texte file? What i am trying to do is the same thing when we are in uniapps and we get all the Data tables names then we can select them. Thank you.
  13. Is there any way to add serial comms settings adjustment (i.e. baud, stop bits, data, parity) within a Unilogic program. Can this only be done in UNIAPPS?
  14. Hello, I am familiar with Modbus and have used it before from a vision slave PLC to a Unistream Master PLC. However, i now seem to be encountering issues when trying to communicate from one to the other. The Slave PLC is a V570-57-T20B-J with an V200-18-E1B Module and an Ethernet card added in being a V200-19-ET2. The Master PLC is a US5-B10-T24. Is there a special way I need to set up the ethernet card added into the Vision PLC as I have copied program logic used previously on already in built ethernet PLCs to get an Modbus communication error showing on the Unistream PLC, Status 3 on the Unilogic software, meaning there is communication but the commands arent set up correctly. And I cannot seem to figure out what is wrong with the Visilogic program. As seen in the attachments I have the code for visilogic with MI0 Flow Test value linked to the screen to be able to manually change the number to see it on the unilogic program. On the Unilogic program I am reading address 0. All IP addresses and ID numbers etc all are aligned as they should be. Any advice would be greatly appriciated.
  15. Hello, I was trying to create a struct table in C, i tried in my C complier and it worked, but when i complie in unilogic i get errors, is there a syntaxe i should use in unilogic?
  16. When troubleshooting a subroutine or a region in Unilogic which has an MB or other register appearing several times in a ladder, I find myself scanning around a trying to recall everywhere that each tag is used and how it is used. To help make this process easier, I would like to suggest that there be an option where a temporary color can be applied to a tag so that everywhere it appears in the program, it has that color assigned to it. Perhaps if a user were to right click on a register in the ladder and then assign a color, it would color all instances. This way a user could scan down through a subroutine and see their MB's or registers highlighted the designated color and easily identify their tags without needing to read the tag or notes. When I think of it, we have region colors that we can assign, why not add teh ability to color tags as well?
  17. Hello everyone, I got a problem with execution of UniLogic studio. The problem occours after windows update, the update was like a week before. The problem is when I execute the studio. Everything seems to be normal. The window shows and presenting what initializations status is, ike "Loading notifier, Loading components, ...". After a few seconds the error occours: "Could not run UniLogic Notifier, or Unilogic Notifier does not exsits. Pleas contact support.." I already created ticket as well, but there was not resposne from support. Software versions: UniLogic studio: 1.33.236.0 Windows 10 (home): 22H2 Thanks in advance for any clue or help.
  18. I have a US5-B10-RA28 with a UAC-CX-01RS4 card fitted onto the back. I have 2 sensors needing to be wired to fit the PLC Program, however the 2 sensors have a different default parity value, meaning they don't work together and only work when I set the 01RS4 card in unilogic program to either Parity = None for one sensor and Parity = Even for the other sensor. This however is not suitable for my application as I constantly have to redownload the project to the PLC changing the parity value for the module to get one sensor running. So my question/ help needed is how can I change the Parity value of the sensor below, and is there a way of doing this through unilogic? Thanks Soil Moisture & Temperature Sensor User Manual-S-Soil MT-02.pdf
  19. Hello, I guess I'm spoiled by RS5000 Rockwell Logix software automatic conversion of dissimilar data types... In other words I can very easily compare or do math to a "real" and "integer" values without having to code additional steps to covert the numbers. So now I'm trying Unistream for the first time mainly because of the "STRUCTS" and "UDFB" features are very powerful tools to have that are competitive to Rockwell and Siemens features... Is there an easy way to convert at UINT32 to Real? I see the conversion instruction under the Tools/Math functions... however I do not understand how to code this... the instruction only shows A, B, C, D, etc... I don't see an instruction manual for UniLogic anywhere either... like the Visilogic programming manual. Thanks, Greg
  20. Hello, I am relatively new to Unilogic and completely new to CANBUS, and I have a project that requires 2 encoders a single turn and a multi turn encoder. My struggle is with the software and how to generate the position values for the encoder onto the PLC, I have followed all the help guides etc and have uploaded the manufacturer EDS Files for the encoders, but I currently seem unable to get a reading onto the PLC HMI. And I cannot for the life of me figure out what I'm missing or have done wrong. Can anyone help or have any tutorial videos for if I'm missing anything in the Ladder logic or in the CANopen set up. Thanks
  21. Hello, I'm programming challenged and like the easy Rockwell Automation world, just not the price. So Unitronics has nice powerful solutions, but the software seems to lag behind a bit... So... what I'd like to be able to do in the Unistream platform is over-write the "read only" register "current count" from the UID-0808THS module. I have shaft encoders and prefer to work on the positive side of the number line. Negative roll over is a programming headache for me. The application is a mechanical jack screw with 60 PPR A quad B encoder, signal feedback and wiring is easy and works fine. In my control code I take the raw data and scale to engineering units to yield a linear position feedback (jackscrew moving the load a specified distance). In the Rockwell world, I can turn the counter off, reset to zero or some "preset" value that is meaningful to the application. What's nice about that is the programming is far easier and I can prevent roll-over problems by offsetting the number line using the preset value = non-zero value + a safety margin in counts (could be 10 x the feedback counts per rev.) Does anyone reading this have has an application similar to this written in Unistream / Unilogic platform? I have my program attached if you are curious about the hardware and software setup. Version 1.7 rev 62. If not, then I ask the capable guru's at Unitronics to consider enhancements to high speed counter firmware. Thanks, Greg
  22. Me and another programmer are working on the same program from Dropbox, when either of us open the file, Unilogic automatically creates copies of global tags. For example, a tag named Alarm Bit 0 is created by me and saved to Dropbox. Then I close the program. Then another programmer opens that file and he sees Alarm Bit 0_1 The tag Alarm Bit 0_1 is not linked to anything. Our finished program will eventually have over 1000 tags, and so far we are having to delete over 50 of these "indexed" automatically created tags. Is this a Dropbox issue? or a Unilogic bug? Any help or advice would be appreciated, Thanks. -John B Controls Tech
  23. I forgot my program password and I don't have access to the code, I couldn't save a backup on the SD card either, I need urgent help.
  24. Hi, I would love to be able to breakout and pin some of the different alignment options to the HMI toolbar tab. It is rather tedious to have to go through the dropdown menu every time I want to make alignments with HMI elements. With monitors getting wider and wider, there is often plenty of space to add additional icons to the HMI tab. VisiLogic had them all available and could be used with one click. It would be nice to have that option while using UniLogic.
  25. Hello, I want to copy the first column of my DTI in an array. The column type is STRING-ASCII. But it seems i canot create an array of STRING. I am right, or i am missing somthing ? I'm starting to thing that a STRING, is alreay a kind of array. Thank you.
