Hello, I currently have Visilogic Version 9.8.80, but I am unable to find the V120-12-R1 plc, what version of Visilogic would it be on?
Good Morning, This has driven me to drink, well it seemed like a good excuse! I am trying to connect a Microscan HS-1 Barcode scanner through RS232 to Com Port 2 of a V120 PLC From what I can see I have everything set right, but when I trigger the hand held scanner the information that I have scanned does not appear to be sent to the PLC I have all my Baud rates, pre ambles and post ambles set right in the scanner, I feel if I have everything right, but I just cant get the flow of information. I have attached the program and am looking for someone brighter than me to see where my dumb *** has gone wrong, or at least point me in the right direction! One thing I am not 100% sure about is the cable I am using to connect the scanner to PLC, I am using a spare programming cable that came with the PLC..Is this my issue? smooth4.vlp
In my project on the V120-22 I use 2 COM ports for RS485 Modbus communication. Port 2 - Master mode to communicate with another device, the Port 1 - Slave mode for communication with the upper level. After some time, the PLC stops responding via Port 1, while Port 2 is operating normally and ladder is operating normally too. Helps only restart the PLC. If Port 2 is disabled, then the connection through Port 1 is without failing. It seems, as if at the time of simultaneous access to the ports, there is a conflict. Why lost communication with Port 1? Ports settings: Port 2: 115200, 8, none, 2 Port 1: 57600, 8, none, 1 The request to Port 1 is sent after a pause of 10 ms after the last response Connection breaks after 2000-15000 requests Best regards, Anton
Hi, Before I start I must say that I have 0 experiance with PLC's. So we have a V120-22-UA2 PLC with OS 4.6 and some custom software installed on. The problem is that it won't get out of Bootstrap mode. The system was perfectly fine and working until this morning. Could it somehow be stuck on bootstrap mode and is there anyway that we can get the PLC out of it? I must add that sudden voltage changes are very common in our area and we have aldready tried turning the power supply off and then on.
