kvlada
Visions originally had only 4 network sockets. V700 increased that to 8. Limitation of the W5500 chip. Unistream has a powerful CPU and a Linux OS (probably?), but it only managed to up the number to 32 sockets. What if there are more than 32 Modbus TCP nodes on the network? Is this too much for a PLC, reaching into DCS territory? And: only 1 Modbus TCP slave per PLC is just too little. Some dumb RTU bus couplers I use can support up to 5 masters polling them at the same time. C'mon Unitronics, I know you can do better. 😊
