JFS
Hello. It happens that Unitronics support has provided us with a direct link to download the remote operator non-administrative application. It is an .exe file, it turns out that it tries to open but disappears without being executed. We don't know if the .exe file that they have provided us needs to be pasted into a visilogic folder? We have pasted the file into a folder but it doesn't finish executing. After trying, it disappears from the Windows 10 screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Greetings. MVP 2023 Ausman Posted August 2 MVP 2023 Report Share Posted August 2 It worked fine for me. Copied into the Remote Operator folder, renamed the original exe to Remote Operator Old.exe and changed the new exe to Remote Operator.exe cheers, Aus
JFS
Hello. This is correct and it works, Ausman. But all this is fine when you already have remote operator installed with administrator permissions on the personal PC, then it's just to rename the .exe files The problem is that we can't download and install the version with administration permissions on a company PC with an IT department. And then make the name change only between .exe files. If I copy the entire Remote Operator folder from my personal PC and then paste it on my company PC with IT department, and then we proceed to change the name of .exe files Would this work? Always very grateful for any response. Regards.
MVP 2023 Ausman Posted August 3 MVP 2023 Report Share Posted August 3 I don't know. I'd go back to support for further help. There's a bit of a blurred timeline on install as admin, especially when msi installers started being used. And at present it is likely best to use the latest version. Time for official support.......
