Since version 1.36 ver 63 and up to the latest version 1.38 ver 62, I have the following problem:

Once I start the program splash screen goes up to loading components for a few seconds then it disappears and Unilogic does not start. I get only the unilogic notifier in the task bar.

With the previous versions i dont have this issue.

I tried this on many pcs with windows 11 with all the latest updates but i get the same problem.

The only common that all pcs have is the ESET Endpoint security. On a pc without this antivirus installed i get Unilogic 1.36 and later to work.

However to remove ESET from my PCs is not an option.

Please advice.

You can set Eset to ignore the likely false positives it is doing.  I run a different version but the procedure is probably the same.  Open the main Eset window by right click the taskbar icon and choose Open, then F5 and then add an Exclusion.

I would also notify support about doing so, so that they can liaise with Eset to find why they are stopping it working correctly.

1. Contact IT for help.

IT may support ESET installation at many computers and may have an experience in Exclusions list maintenance.

If adding 1 UniLogic file to exclusion list does not solve problem - analyze ESET messages to define what other files are blocked and add all to exclusion list.

2. New UniLogic versions supporting Telegram and this may lead to falce detection as spam, etc.

If you cannot add UniLogic to exclusions - you may temporary work with old UniLogic version.

*Similar false detection is registered by Kaspersky AV.

Share with Forum members what should be added to exclusions list.

This will help to other members find fast solution.

For me, Eset settings are not very intuitive once you delve a little deeper.  I've found that you need to use the Help system if you can't easily find a setting, which then points you in the right direction where things become obvious.  You can often choose a manual interaction to occur that lets you pinpoint a problem area more easily.  I don't know whether you will be able to do it in this case.  If you can do so, don't forget to turn it back to what it was previously, after you finish changing things.

Like Alex says, please advise back on successful results, which will both help Unitronics and Forum members.

So i found the solution.

For versions 1.36.63 and up you have to add the following into the detection exclusions of ESET (see attached picture)

Also in order to have unilogic to start you have to reinstall the program once you add the detection exclusion.

You have to do the reinstallation step for all the versions from 1.36.63 and later that you need to use.

Good work.

Just an FYI, I have often found that doing a manual entry does NOT stick in Eset.  I have had to do the "interactive" method where it asks me to approve something.  Lo and behold the end result looks exactly the same, but it then sticks.  There must be some other invisible link being done.   It does not do this all  the time, there seems to be no pattern to it.

If you need to make exceptions, firewall adjustments etc then always try to use the interactive method.  The classic was that I was once on site at a remote computer and had it all set up ok via manual entry, tested external access fine etc.  Even on multiple reboots.  Perfect.  Next time I tried to access it remotely it wouldn't work.  Another visit and did the interactive method and it hasn't fallen over since.  On inspecting the rules after getting it going again there were 2 identical entries, so the only way I knew for sure which one was the interactive one was to delete them both and do it all again using interactive, with multiple reboots in between.  Only one rule now, but everything visual is exactly the same as the manual entry I first did.  😖

It is a good enough A/V but it does have annoying quirks.....but I have to say that help is often fairly useless......"form" reply emails not relating at all to a specific thing you've asked, or explained.
