Does anyone know if Unitronics has a online compatibility chart showing what field hardware is compatible with which CPU and different revision numbers?

Don't want to try to make something work that was never designed that way.

Thanks

Hi Tom;

"Field Hardware" - I take it you mean non Unitronics devices.

Unitronics PLC's have the ability to communicate with thousands of  devices, instruments, sensors, other PLC that have communications abilities build in.

Unitronics PLC's Support Modbus , Ethernet/IP, CANOpen  as default communications protocols. Other methods are also available and there are modules out there that ollow the Unitronics PLC communicate with other protocols .

Every project is unique in its own way, you design it your way to meet the clients needs.

I am specifically referring to Unitronics devices compatinily between devlices.

I.E.

what CPUs are compatible with what field equipment.

If I understand correctly, the USC-P-B10 is not directly compatible with the UMD-0002B-E3 servodrives.  This is the information I am looking for.

Thanks

Hi Tom;

OK, understand now.

As far as I know, there is no compatibility chart as such, but here   are some guidelines :

UniStream :

      USP-070-B10,  USP-104-B10,  USP-156-B10      ----   USC-P-B10   is the CPU  Module  you have to have it mounted on the back - else it is just a  HMI Display)

          These are   compatible with all I/O Modules, Remote I/O,  VFD's and CANbusS   Sero  Drives and Motors.

          Not Comapatible with  the EtherCAT  Servo Drives

 USC-(B5,B10,C5, C10)-XXX

          These are   compatible with all I/O Modules, Remote I/O,  VFD's and CANBUS   Servo  Drives and Motors.

          These require the    UAC-01EC2   Module  to Interface to the  EtherCAT  Servo Drives

          ( EtherCAT Servo Drives can only be used with the    USC-(B5,B10,C5, C10)-XX      Series  and must use the UAC-01EC2 )

           The Dispays are Virtual  - So Use a VNC Connection   for Remote Display,     or the      USL -xx    Series Displays from Unitronics  ( VNC connection)

 US5, US7, US10   Models can be used with all UniStream I/O modules using the UAG -CX Series Cables

          These also support  Remote I/O,  VFD's  and CANbus  Servo Drives ( use the UAC-CX-CAN   Module )

        Not Compatible with the EtherCAT  Servo Drives.

All of the above will also support the   Unitronicxs IO-Link Masters .

UniStream can use the Vision I/O Modules using the   EX-RC1   CANBus Interface Module

Vision Series can use all the Vision I/O Modules,  and  Unitronics  VFD's, and Limited   CANBus  Servo Capability

SAMBA Series    -  can use the Unitronics VFD's ( Vision Function Blocks) , BUT  Program  space is reduced by VFD functions

      SAMBA series is NOT expandable for Unitroncis I/O Modules. There are Un-Official methods  to add  some remote I/O via Modbus RTU

     SAMBA is very restricted  in its Memory Allocation.

    Designed for Small Standalone applications needing a Touch Screen Interface and limited smarts

M90 ( U90)   Series  - Compatible with the Vision I/O Modules     ( This is the Original Unitroncis PLC Series )

      NO Unitroncis VFD Servo, Remote I/O, or Ethernet abilities

JAZZ  Series   -  Non Expandable, Stripped down M90 Series,  Designed for Small, Stand Alone Applications
