kthornton
Anybody have a difficult time with the Ethercat card communicating with the PLC? I get a "CPU Error Detected" fault. Ethercat card Link LED solid green, ECAT LED off, Status LED rapid flashing red. Have tried this card on two PLC's with the same result. Bad Ethercat card? Is there something in the setup I'm missing? PLC is USC-B5-TA30 Ethercat is UAC-01EC2

kthornton
I resolved this issue. When doing a firmware update, you can't have the UAC-01EC2 defined in your project. I had to make a "dummy" project with just the PLC defined, download it and then do the firmware upgrade via the HMI. If you define the card, it does not communicate with the PLC. Very strange. I asked tech support to add that to the procedure they have for flashing firmware. I wasted over a day trying to figure out the issue. Our distributer was the one that filled me in on how to flash it.
