MarcBickel Posted November 11 Report Posted November 11 Hello everyone I am using a V700 for a machine control. Parallel to the local control, I would like to install a remote control in the same network using Remote Operator. With the new security settings, it is apparently not possible to operate the remote operator without a PCOM password. However, as I don't have a keyboard on the remote control, I can't enter the PCOM password every time I start it up. Is there a way to enter the PCOM password once and store it permanently on site? Thank you for your help!
MVP 2023 Joe Tauser Posted November 13 MVP 2023 Report Posted November 13 What device are you using for a remote control? Joe T.
MarcBickel Posted November 13 Author Report Posted November 13 I use a small industrial touch-PC with Windows 11. I have the Remote Operator in Autostart so that it is automatically activated after switching on. Unfortunately, I always have to re-enter the PCOM password. But once the step to the new firmware has been taken, there's no going back 😉

Saragani Posted November 13 Report Posted November 13 Actually, I've compiled Remote Operator 1.0.100 2 months ago, and I don't know why it wasn't uploaded to our website. Version 1.0.100 works with local storage for the passwords instead of RAM, so you will not have to re-enter it each time. Please try it and tell me if it works for you. MarcBickel Posted November 13 Author Report Posted November 13 Hi Saragani Thanks for the input! Unfortunately I can't download the file. Can you make it available to me on a cloud, for example? Thank you.

MarcBickel Posted November 13 Author Report Posted November 13 8 minutes ago, Flex727 said: Why not? Because I already have several identical systems in use without Remote Operator and they also have the latest firmware version. I don't want identical systems with different firmware and software versions.

Saragani Posted November 13 Report Posted November 13 I've reshared it using my OneDrive account. Please check again
MVP 2023 Joe Tauser Posted November 13 MVP 2023 Report Posted November 13 I sent an email to @Yocheved to look into the download issue. Joe T.

Remote Operator Version 1.0.100.zip The download has now worked 🙂 Unfortunately, I get the following error message when starting a remote session:
Saragani Posted November 14 Report Posted November 14 OK, try replacing the Remote Operator.exe with this file: Remote Operator.exe The old one was compiled as Any CPU, and as far as I understand, the OLEDB error happens due to accessing OLEDB on 64 Bit. The version I gave you now is compiled as 32 bit, so it should work.
Punt Systems Posted November 15 Report Posted November 15 Hi Marc, If you use Remote Operator version V1.2.85.3, you can save the password, and can go from boot to a (full screen) PLC in one move, without any click. Best regards George

Best regards George Hi George Thanks for the hint. Where can I get this version of the Remote Operator? I found something about it in the download section of the forum. Unfortunately, I always get an error message when I try to download it.
Punt Systems Posted November 15 Report Posted November 15 Hi Marc, I also tried to download the file, same problem (error). Here you have an alternative link, which you can use for now, hoping that someone solves this download issue. link: http://remoteoperator.nl:8080/PLC_Remote_Operator_Setup_1_2_85_3.zip Best regards George
MVP 2023 Ausman Posted November 16 MVP 2023 Report Posted November 16 DOWNLOAD ISSUE FIXED. THERE IS CURRENTLY AN ISSUE WITH DOWNLOADS NOT WORKING ON THE FORUM. Volunteer mods do not have sufficient access to fix the problem. Hopefully will be cured soon.
