Remote Operator - Lost Cache files

I just upgraded remote operator to version 1.098.0 and it does not seem to be able to see my cache files - they are still there in C:\ProgramData\Unitronics\Remote Operator\Resources\Cache Files but I have to import them to use. I have created a new cache file for a couple of PLCs and they are being placed in C:\Users\paul\AppData\Local\Temp - this doesn't seem like a good place for them to be placed.

Is it possible to change where Remote operator is looking for the cache files?

Hi Paul,

If you use Remote Operator V1.2.85.3, these files will be saved in '\ProgramData\PLC\Remote Operator\1.2.85.3' , and you can copy old/saved files to that same location.

Paul, please have a look at this topic and perhaps think about using the symlinks suggestion.  As well, have a good read of the entire topic above the link.  It might help.

George, I have installed this version (v1.2.85.3) from the link and it appears to be work well, i like being able to scroll through the PLCs easily and the sort options, thank you.

Ausman, I have looked at your post(s) and looks like a good approach but have not yet implemented, thank you also.

I also received a replay from Unitronics but had already installed (v1.2.85.3) so was not able to check if it worked:

1. I have the same version of Remote Operator as you have.

2. I created cache file with following results.

2.1. 1 file created in directory:

C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\V700_TST.urc

Directory of C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp

2.2. Other file created:

C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Unitronics\Remote Operator\Resources\Cache Files\V700_TST.urc

3. When run Remote Operator without any action to select cache file, it show me all required images and fonts.

4. When create URC file from VisiLogic - you have to select file path.

Recommended to copy created cache file to the same path, used by Remote Operator:

C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Unitronics\Remote Operator\Resources\Cache Files\
