Stop an output when a Input from a encoder stops and resume when the encoder counts resume.

Hello,

I am working on a project that uses an encoder and a reset to repeat a process over and over again. However, the process is stopped by others from time to time. Therefore, wasting a ton of material in a one area and not covering the full desired area as they pass Infront of my output.  What is the best way to stop an output while an encoder is stopped and resume when it starts moving again.

Thanks

Just off the top of my head, this is the way I would do it (in VisiLogic):

Some modification might be needed depending on your logic that normally starts and stops the process.

better way of doing this.

Compare embedded to hardware  High Speed Input Frequency Measurement = 0.

P.S. Flex code is also useful if position (encoder count) come to PLC from network communication.
