UniOPC with Wonderware FSGateway

Hi all,

I was success to connect UniOPC with Wonderware Intouch via OPCLink. But I want use FSgateway with DAServer but not success. Someone can show me how to do that. Thanks alot.

Hello trungnc!

I had the same problem. Are you running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008? Because then the problem could be, that the FsGateway runs with a different Session ID than the UniOPC Server.

The Solution is, to run FsGateway not as a Service. You have to start the FGateway.exe manual (normally you can find it here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Wonderware\DAServer\FSGateway\Bin)

I hope Unitronics will develope a UniOPC Version that can be configured as a Service soon!

Another thing that`s wrong in your configuration is the item name. It should look like e.g.: PLC1.MB12 (PLC1 has to be exact the same as the PLC Name in UniOPC. The Prefixes you had to use in OPCLink are not neccesary in FSGateway)
