FirstOldOne
Can the V-570 be used to control a Yaskawa servo-pack?
MVP 2023 Joe Tauser Posted February 17, 2013 MVP 2023 Report Share Posted February 17, 2013 It can if the Yaskawa supports Modbus RTU or Modbus TCP. Do you have a specific model number? Joe T.
FirstOldOne
Thank you for your reply. The servo-pack that I am wanting to control, is a Yaskawa SGDV5R5A01A . Link http://www.yaskawa.com/site/products.nsf/ProductDetailPages/Servo%20Amplifiers~SGDV%20Sigma-5~SGDVSigma5ModelNumberDesgination.html I was expecting to be able to control the servo-pack with a 4-20ma, 0-20ma or 0-10v, but it seems to be controlled by a pulse train and I have no knowledge of how to use the 570 to do this. MVP 2023 Joe Tauser Posted February 19, 2013 MVP 2023 Report Share Posted February 19, 2013 Read the Help on high speed outputs - if you have a snap IO module on the back of your V570 it's fairly easy to make a pulse train. Joe T.
