how to enable the battery backup?

Hi,

I have purchased two Jazz R16 PLCs, and trying to reprogramm them to my needs, the only problem I have got is that after I switch power off, all the data saved in the PLC is gone or restored to defaults.

Also while I am recompiling the programm and trying to download the program to PLC, I see the power up values - retain values grayed out.

What should I do to enable it?

 

I have opened the Jazz, and have seen the Letium battery on board, so I beleave it is good battery, also SB8 return a 0 value.

 

How can it be that the values does not been saved?

What is the full part number of your PLC model? and Which o/s version is installed on your PLC?

On the Download screen, make sure the "Retain values (battery backup) option is selected.
