thisdust
Hello, I'm quite new here and don't have much experience with unitronics. I started project for my self, where I use unitronics Samba solution/PLC + sensors. I use Unitronics Samba PLC device to manage my machine. Beside that I need to collect probs collected from sensors and export them to remote database. Can you help me and point out, how to take probs form Samba PLC? I would like to connect directly to Samba PLC and take probs from PLC (not raw probs from sensors) How do I connect to Samba PLC - Ethernet? RS 232? Which protocol deals with this best? Ofir
Hi, Can you explain what do you mean by "probs"? Which Smaba model are you using? SM35 has built in RS232 port and you can add Ethernet and CANBUS ports. SM43 and SM70 have built in mini USB for programming and you can add Ethernet and CANBUS ports. In general you can communicate with the Samba both usingRS232 and Ethernet with different protocols such as MODBUS RTU, MODBUS TCP, ASCII etc..
thisdust
Hi, By probes I mean data that is collecting from sensors. I use that data for further purposes. Thanks for your replay! BR, TheDust
