brightness and contrast setting

Hello,

I have to configure a Vision 700 . The software was successfully  installed.

Is it possible to change the contrast and brightness of  the display. 

It would be great, if anybody can help me in changing the contrast and brightness, I was not able to find anything about that point.

Hi,

You can change the backlight intensity using system integer 9. The values is between 0 -100.

0 - off

100 - full

I am using a V1210 and have the same question.  Is setting the brightness via SI 9 the only way?  Is there not a built-in screen config page with these types of settings?

No, there's not, but you can adjust SI9 directly through INFO Mode and it will retain that setting unless the PLC is initialized or the battery fails.

I use the following logic to achieve a screen sleep function for backlight's life economy.

If MB26 is enabled by a toggle button on the screen, screen sleep function is on.

If the screen has not been touched for a preset amount of time, the value of SI9 is set to zero and backlight turns off.

When the screen is touched, backlight turns on.
