nick777745
I am troubleshooting a plc as a favor, and have only used ab rslogix before this. How do i find the physical input or output addres of MB and MI? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
MVP 2021 Joe Tauser Posted August 26, 2018 MVP 2021 Report Share Posted August 26, 2018 Look at the bottom tabs of Visilogic - the one called "Operands". Physical inputs are memory type "I". Physical outputs are memory type "O". Sort of like the SLC 500 and PLC 5 of old - you may not have experienced these. Ctrl-F works to find things. Joe T. nick777745
I was able to navigate the operands, I was looking at the program and it seemed there was only one location in the main rung where the physical I O were referenced. Is it possible these could be "mapped" to memory bits and integers? I am not familiar with this practice, and apologize for my ignorance. Thank you for your response. MVP 2021 Ausman Posted August 27, 2018 MVP 2021 Report Share Posted August 27, 2018 Perhaps you are wanting what is available at View/HW Configuration? Clicking the various items used will bring up lists of what is what. cheers, Aus

It might help if you explained what it is you're trying to do.
