meisterbond
I have an old Jazz JZ10 that requires a programme change. The U90 Operating System settings tell me I require an update but I don't have an offline copy of the programme and want to ensure it doesn't get erased... MVP 2022 Ausman Posted November 20, 2018 MVP 2022 Report Share Posted November 20, 2018 Don't do anything yet. The best solution is to simply use the version of U90 that doesn't want to update the OS. But I don't have the knowledge as to what version that is. Someone else is sure to know. Once you have that successfully in place, you should try to get the program out of the plc. cheers, Aus

MVP 2022 Ausman Posted November 21, 2018 MVP 2022 Report Share Posted November 21, 2018 No-one has chimed in yet, so you have a choice. 1). In theory the program is totally unaffected by the OS update and you can do it ok. 2). Contact support@unitronics.com, ask them the question and they should know and give you a link to the correct U90 version. I'd be inclined to wait the little bit longer and do no. 2. If something does go astray for some reason during the update, you're covered. cheers, Aus

I did #2 and Unitronics gave me a link to the matching software version. And it worked. Thanks again for your help.
MVP 2022 Ausman Posted November 22, 2018 MVP 2022 Report Share Posted November 22, 2018 Confunitronics say "On old system is best to use what is working without changing anything, grasshopper." 😇 Glad it worked ok. cheers, Aus
Ofir
In general is should not remove the application. (unless it is a really really old OS). Anyway it is required always to load the application from the U90Ladder that is compatible with the OS. In this case upload the program , update the OS and load the application again.
