MVP 2022 Ausman Posted June 17, 2019 MVP 2022 Report Share Posted June 17, 2019 Hi all, I'm sure lots of you know about these things that make life much easier using com ports. But in case you don't, here are 2 links to different sources amongst many: https://www.aliexpress.com/i/32860271754.html https://www.amazon.com/fosa-Ethernet-Terminal-Splitter-Connector/dp/B07D355PDX cheers, Aus
MVP 2022 kratmel Posted June 18, 2019 MVP 2022 Report Share Posted June 18, 2019 Maybe this type of connector is useful in commisioning, but i do not use this type of connector in installation. There is a risk of damage to the PLC connector by applying some forсe to the adapter or cable.Especially in the presence of vibration.I usually use something like a classic adapter (MJ10-22-CS25 or the same).Which is fixed not far from the controller and connected to OPLC with a flexible, standard short cable. Ahh yes....but not if you are using 485! Depending on local conditions dictates whether one of these goes in the final install, or I make up my own custom 6pin plug. For ease of trials, though, this type is great. cheers, Aus
