CobryWZL 0
Hi guys, I recently asked myself, if theres a possibility to read NFC tags using a SAMBA PLC. Usually NFC readers have a USB interface and need a PC to read the information on a NFC tag. Did anybody ever try to use a SAMBA or other Unitronics PLC instead of a PC to read NFC information? Is there any hardware you can recomment? Best regards
AlexUT 55
Vision PLCs has USB-A or USB-Mini interface, which can be used only for programming, or online communication with PC. Vision PLCs does not support external USB devices. You have to find NFC reader with RS232 or RS485 interface - then you canm use it with PLC. B. R.
kratmel 63
Hi, maybe best solution is to use Ethernet card and connection to the Samba. Device like this https://minovatech.de/mcr08-nfc-rfid-hf-en.php has Ethernet, RS232 and 485 port present also.
