Your information is a little sparse here for anyone to provide any useful help. Which PLC model? What happens when you try to connect with USB? Have you tried using a different cable? Have you tried reinstalling the driver? For Ethernet, what is the IP address of the computer and the IP address of the PLC? Are they on the same subnet? Are you using either a crossover cable or an Ethernet hub?

I am  having a similar issue as above.

I am using TCP, there is a switch in the system and I can ping the ip address of the plc and the hmi.  but when I try to make a Unilogic connection to the plc, after about 30 seconds it can not connect.  The results on the unilogic screen says device does not respond to ping. But the computer dos window can ping.

Any suggestions?

have you tried to connect your PC and your PLC to a "standard" switch, without management on the switch....

If you connect both with the switch of your IT department, maybe they block some ports on your network ? It's not because you can ping, you could talk to the PLC

some ports have to be opened by your IT ?

Lat last night I was able to get connected. I had to do an upgrade to the offline file to the new version I have on my notebook, then connect and then it said I had to do a firmware upgrade on the PLC for the new version, did that, then was able to get connected.

Thanks
