Hadi
To whoever is reading this I hope you could assist me. Initially, without putting in the 2nd alarm(alarm1), the program would work as what I wanted. My project is to ensure that each screen that I go to produces a sound whenever the user picks the wrong tool. And hence, after putting in the 2nd alarm which is an identical ladder diagram, the alarm eventually stopped working. It only works when I only input one of the alarm. I would appreciate it if anyone could assist me..
MVP 2023 Flex727 Posted February 2, 2021 MVP 2023 Report Share Posted February 2, 2021 Can you clarify what you're trying to do? Are you trying to activate the PLC's internal buzzer?

I don't see any objects labelled "alarm1". Please post your program so we can see the whole picture. Joe T.

You could say that. I am trying to play a sound which comes out from the PLC. Initially, the sound file worked as what i wanted. But after adding more actions for 'play sound' my PLC stopped playing any kinds of sound. The whole program works as I intended just that the sound was not able to be played at all. And when i redo my ladder diagram, same scenario happened. The sound initially work but after adding a few more of those 'play sound' actions, it just did not want to make any sound anymore. I'll attach my ladder diagram to help you to see better.

I have attached my program in the previous post. Do tell me if there is anything else that you need me to show you to understand better
MVP 2023 Flex727 Posted February 3, 2021 MVP 2023 Report Share Posted February 3, 2021 A "network" is a single ladder rung. Actions need to be a SET coil, which the PLC will RESET automatically.

Currently I am watching some tutorials online while waiting for responses. Anyways thank you for the speedy responses.
MVP 2023 Flex727 Posted February 3, 2021 MVP 2023 Report Share Posted February 3, 2021 Coils (other than SET or RESET coils) can only be used in one single ladder rung. The value of the first coil will be overwritten by the second one.

Would this be the correct solution?
MVP 2023 Flex727 Posted February 3, 2021 MVP 2023 Report Share Posted February 3, 2021 Yes, but what is the purpose of the Inverted Coils? As I said, Actions require SET coils.
MVP 2023 Flex727 Posted February 3, 2021 MVP 2023 Report Share Posted February 3, 2021 Also, do NOT place multiple logic threads in a single ladder rung.

Thank you for guiding me. Will test this program out when I am in my lab later on. I got the information that I need from you and also youtube. Will keep you posted if I encounter any more problems/solved the issue. Thanks.
