How are Power Up values applied?

Following on from another topic, I'm intrigued enough to ask @Saragani or @AlexUT  or @Cara Bereck Levy "How are power up values applied?"

Are they effectively "done by SB2 during the first scan" , or before anything is done at all in the ladder?

When are they actually set?

I'd certainly be interested in knowing the answer to this as well, but I can't imagine anything other than sometime before execution of the first ladder scan after bootup. It seems to me that anytime before the first scan begins is equivalent.

• Open New project
• Set PU values:

• Add some Ladder Logic:

• Right Click on "!Main Routine" and select "STL View"
