V130 and four devices with one RS232 port each

Recommended Posts

Hello

I am planning a project with a V130 where I need to control four devices with one RS232 port each.
I can equip the V130 with a maximum of two RS232 ports (1x existing, 1x extension). Does anyone know a technical solution with which I can query/operate four RS232 ports simultaneously and independently?

Thanks.
Marc

I don't believe there's a good way to do that with a V130.

Have you looked in to if the devices support RS-485?  or a Isolated Addressable RS-422/485 to RS-232 Converter so you can assign the devices an address in a RS-485 network that the PLC would use to communicate with them.

use two V130 with 2 RS232 port and connection for both PLC via UniCAN protocol (two CAN card needed).

Instal ethernet (LAN) card  V100-ET2 from unitronics into your PLC and buy one of this

That certainly is interesting.  Do you have a link to a manual, or how did you figure out how to use it?

Thank you 😉
Do you have a small example program? That would probably make it a little easier for me....
Thanks a lot!
