Cannot Upload project due to "downloaded without an Upload option.".

I am new to the Unitronics line of products.  I have a piece of equipment that is built on a Unitronics controller and PLC.  I am getting ZERO help from the machine manufacturer.  I am having an issue with the machine and need a copy of the PLC programming to further my troubleshooting.  I have downloaded the UniLogic software to a Win10 PC.  I have been able to establish a connection with the Unitronics device.  However, when I attempt to upload the existing programming, I get the following error: "The project in the controller cannot be uploaded. This is because the project was downloaded without an Upload option.". 

The UniLogic version on the PC is 1.33.  The version of UniLogic showing in UniApps on the machine is 1.28.

 Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance for your time!

Without the upload option enabled when the project was last downloaded you will be unable to obtain a copy of the project in this way. Most PLC software is set up this way to protect intellectual property.

Makes total sense. This is what I assumed but wanted to ask anyway just to be sure.
